wait for the lite then do your own damn research on which version to get once they're both out

depends how you are gonna use it most often, if you plan on using it as a handheld, then get the lite, if it’s gonna stay home most of the time the get the regular one.

want to use it on TV and handheld? get regular

handheld only? get lite

Everyone is mocking the lite but it seems fine if you don't mind not playing on the tv. You just can't play games like Mario Party and stuff. It only costs as much as a 3ds

Find an old one and hack it.

>yellow
>turquoise

I just bought my girlfriend one of the pokemon ones. Why would you have the colors be yellow and turqoise? tf?

why get the lite version unless you're a poor as fuck third worlder

D-pad and sturdier joycons, I imagine.

What's the fucking point of a Switch Lite lmao

whats the point of a regular switch

i just bought my gf a lite tonight and i think its perfect for her, she just wants to play pokemon in bed and shit

when does this release again? I want to see the shitstorm if these sticks get drift

you should be fucking her in bed

i do. like, twice a week. she can play pokemon more often than that

>twice

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Can I get the Lite and have all my game saves synced automatically between 2 devices? I wanna leave the OG switch at home as a home console permanently and just take the lite on the go.

>twice a week
My nigger you have husbandly duties you are not fulfilling, regardless if you can't get it up for your pignasty wife

If you like playing only handheld, I would get the Switch Lite. Otherwise, get the other one. I play the portable mode mostly, so I might get a Lite sometime down the road unless there's a Pro or some shit.

Buy a standard switch and replace the latches with metal ones.
You get docked mode, better battery life, it's sturdy because of the metal latches and the dpad on the switch lite is in the wrong place to play platformers comfortably anyway.

Don't buy either until A) the joycons sticks drifting issue is totally fixed, or B) We know if the Lite doesn't have some retarded widespread issue of its own.

Wait for black friday if you're american and get the best deal then. You waited this long, another couple months won't hurt.

>twice a week
enter, jamal

Wait for the pro

user I've been rough to a lot of controllers that still work perfectly fine, my original launch day DS2 controller being the best example since that shit has been used, beaten, and had its cable chewed by dogs and it STILL works perfectly.
Hell, my original PS1 analog controller still works perfectly, though its been treated a bit nicer then my DS2. fact is, if the Switch can't even handle moderate play, not even rough play, before starting to drift, it means its a shit controller. Which the joycons are kind of shit to be honest, they feel shit to hold and even shittier to use, and it all stems from them feeling cheap as fuck. if they cost $30-40 bucks I don't think that would be a big deal, them feeling cheap, but they cost 70-80 bucks brand new, which makes it unacceptable.

You must never have written an actual essay before.

So you haven't written one then?

You can play mario party in handheld. You just need to buy a set of joy-cons.

How many of those things do you even have saved? Maybe you should write an essay about different wojak edits.

Can I use pro controllers on it still? I have the DQ slime controller and it’s the only one I will ever use because joycon sticks are ass

>people are reporting broken joycon analogs
>a switch version that has built in joycon analog sticks
>default switch doesnt have a dpad on portable mode
Why bother with prototypes? Just wait a little longer or just get a take a gamble.

To get people like me that only buys handheld from Nintendo

Just spend the extra money and get the revised regular Switch. It isn't much larger or heavier than the Lite, it has much better battery life, you can detach and send the joy cons in for free repay if they drift (they will), and someday you might want to hook it up to a TV for something, which is completely off the table for the Lite.

Does the tech even exist for a switch pro to even be a possibility?

lmfao, they actually did it. O'brien cannot be stopped.
