Well, there's a shop later that lets you do something akin to mass-produce. You don't get it until like the 4th chapter though. So just make quick bombs or whatever, use elements to your advantage. I remember some enemies taking a lot of hits to kill, but if that happens then that might be an enemy you want to avoid. I remember being able to avoid enemies a good amount unless I needed it for a quest then in which case, use a lot of items, debuffs, elemental advantage, healing, anything to win.

I just finished D rank. I found the duplicator but she doesn't seem to take bombs. There's re-stock, but how expensive is it? I don't have a great way to get more money.

Play Rorona. The time limits might look intimidating at first, but it's unironically one of the comfiest games I've ever played.

If I recall correctly, she doesn't accept bombs the first time around because you have to unlock it by going through the story or ranking up. It's however expensive in connection to your item's strength. I remember being a sticker on money too. I just did the quests though that are easy and I have parts on me. Hoarding helps with that. You also learn how to get certain parts easier and which are best for getting quick and easy money. Basically, keep playing and you unlock it along with a lot of the other recipes.

What parts are good for selling? Gems?

That's part of why I'm feeling lost. In Rorona you got to inspect every item when you picked it up, and there were only a few harvest spots per zone. In Lydie there's tons everywhere and you have to go into a submenu to examine shit. Can you give examples of shit that's easy to get and sell?

Boy, I wish NoA played like a deeper action game, or that Blue Reflection played like a more challenging JRPG. The pieces are there for the most part but I can't consider either of them better than a 6/10.

I do though, I enjoy the battle systems, the interactions, the cutscenes, the music and the characters. I don't enjoy suddenly being told "you need to make a lightning super bomb with these traits and 200+ quality to blow open that door teehee" with no indication which book has the recipe, or where to get the ingredients etc. It's a boring addition to the game.

To each their own, alchemy is a defining feature of the franchise. That other user isn't steering you wrong with Blue Reflection at least. Approach NoA with caution if you don't like action games or yuri but it does still possess some of those other qualities.

NoA does shape its shit up a bit in the final quarter or so but my biggest gripe with Blue Reflection was that it was the easiest game I've played since Super Princess Peach, and that's largely in part BECAUSE the battle mechanics in it are actually pretty good. Could've been a lot more fun if it was a bit less forgiving overall.

My gripe with NoA is there are no unlockabke outfits, what a missed opportunity. Never played the second one, I heard its a lot clunker and has time limits, no thanks. Any other games you could recommend that are similarly comfy cutesy girl games?

I dunno about "similarly comfy" but maybe Valkyrie Drive? It's a spinoff game from the Senran Kagura devs but it has enough parallels specifically with NoA that there might be some crossover appeal. Otherwise, I dunno. My definition of comfy lies around games like Yume Nikki or Yomawari so I'm probably not of much help there.
