The cut chapter would not have made the game any better, at all. The game was mediocre because despite having incredibly refined menus and gameplay, the gameplay was poorly utilized because of the empty open world with almost no level design, and empty NPC wise as well. Even in its current state it probably would be 100x better if it had actual warzones in the open world.

I remember years ago being unable to beat the first boss in Zero because I didn't know how to dash and tried jumping over the lasers. I do remember beating it without dashing after a few weeks and never put together I needed to dash under the lasers even after I found the dash button.
