Stage 4 is usually where it gets really tricky, so you are not doing too bad.

Your goal right now should be to just beat the game with any amount of continues, so that you unlock stage 6 in Practice mode. To do this, you'll probably have to practice stage 4 and 5 until you can get to Stage 6 with a decent amount of continues.
At that point, you should be able to bomb yourself through stage 6 so that you can unlock it in practice mode.
From there, you just need to practice stages until you can clear the game with the amount of bombs and lives you earn during a play-through.
Also, for reference, it took me several weeks to 1CC PCB my first time. Remember to take breaks from your practice: Touhou indeed requires you to concentrate, and you'll sometimes feel like you're braindamaged and can't do even simple things when you are tired. This is just normal, and part of improving yourself. Good luck!

Honestly, what isn't past it's prime these days? The golden age for the Internet in general was from like 2004-2009. And maybe a bit of 2010-2012. Touhou, Yea Forums, YouTube, Newgrounds, you name it. Everything back then was thriving with creativity and original content (well I guess the Yea Forums "golden age" is debatable). Now any time anything becomes popular on the Internet, it's basically forgotten about within a few weeks. Maybe a few months at best. People are constantly moving from one big trend to the next and you can blame a lot of that on the centralization of the Internet. These people only care about whatever's currently trending on Twitter and Instagram at the moment. The fact that Touhou has managed to thrive for so long through all of this really says a lot. Meanwhile, all of those fucking e-girls you see cosplaying as Fate shit at AX will move on to something else within the next couple of years.
