What’s the canon reason for the land being so different? Are they not in the same universe?
What’s the canon reason for the land being so different? Are they not in the same universe?
Correct.
different universe
this
GTA V's map is perhaps the best map of any open world game of all time
>Are they not in the same universe?
You just answered your own question.
Also, GTAV and GTAO take place on a different timeline.
Not without SF and LV it isn't.
>What’s the canon reason for the land being so different?
holy fuck, zoomers are so stupid.
You really can't figure out the concept of technological limitations?
I believe in canon they are supposed to be connected with the rest of the country as well, not just islands. But it's weird, I tend to forget in the game that San Andreas is pretty much a huge island. Kind of a weird way to look at it now that I think on it.
>80% empty fields and desert
Woah based
This.
what? It's literally the worst map in the series
it's big but it's fucking boring, there's almost no reason to go north unless you want to drive fast
>literally
shut up zoomer, i gotta work so you can play fortnite and talk to niggers on instagram, you racemixing cunt
gta 5 is pretty bad but LS city makes it worth it. Vice City is way worse.
GTA V has the best map set in a modern setting but I think Red Dead Redemption 2 has a better map and atmosphere in the open world by far in terms of variety and how alive it is, the pastel painting aesthetic is phenomenal
GTA VI will be truly incredible when it comes out though, I wasn't hyped about it until playing RDR2 and seeing what Rockstar can do after so long
I hope the leaks are true that it's set in 80's Vice City and Liberty City. A seedy 80's big city New York vibe with the clubs and neon washed streets of Miami influenced by the cocaine boom would be amazing. A great chance for them to do a reset of the series and bring it back to its crime roots while also incorporating the empire building aspects of GTAO
The atmosphere will be palpable

SA feels more dense and travelling between cities feels like actually going on an adventure
Canonically there's 3 universes. 2D, 3D, and HD. There's allusions to previous universes but Lazlow and some other guy on the radio are the only characters to show up in multiple ones.
no they don't
>I hope the leaks are true that it's set in 80's Vice City and Liberty City.
Fuck off with the 80s shit. We don't need that trash in LC.
Los Santos I felt was pretty well designed, but everything north of Los Santos feels too padded out with mountains, just look at the map, mountains make up a huge chunk of the territory. It doesnt help that the vast majority of the game revolves around Los Santos, with shady sands being used a little bit and paleto bay being used twice or so. I think the map would have benefited from having a larger town/city to the north that actually got utilized.
Yes they do, Casino, Trevor, Lester, Nightclubs, Facilities, Bunkers, MCs, CEOs, Warehouses, all the shit happening and not crossreferencing confirms it.
What this guy said. 2D Universe and 3D Universe are considered separate canon
Isn’t Franklin dead in the GTO canon?
Cringe.
I think V's map is really well designed and executed for the game it ended up being, but I think they should have had more city, less empty desert. LA is massive, but Los Santos feels pretty small to me
I don't remember him being mentioned anywhere, I haven't played/paid attention to all the missions though.
Technological reasons, you fuck
holy shit V sucked dick
Zoom zoom
>BOOM BOOM ZOOMIE ZOOMIE BOOMIE ZOOMER BOOMER
>he wants more of the overdone, same rehashed '80s aesthetic
when are people going to drop the fucking '80s
AHAHAHAHHAAHHA
Los Santos is great, but there really should've been more cities.
best san andreas here
The 80s was 40 years ago.
