I think next gen will be slower to take off than previous ones because a lot are content with their current console, and won't want to pay the $500 or maybe more they're going to cost. That will mean years worth of multigeneration games so it'll be mid 2022 by the earliest that we see actual games take advantage of the extra hardware.
Added to that is that both next gen consoles will be fully backwards compatible with this one, meaning you have zero draw backs to sticking with what you have for a few more years as things get going.

Havent seen it myself, but apparently they take some liberties with the plot(like cutting down the childhood part, which made some sense to me) and the plot kinda goes all over the place at times. And then they throw in an isekai plot twist out of nowhere, the entire movie was a VR simulation the whole time, the main villain is a computer virus, the slime mascot is an antivirus program, and it just oneshots the villain and that's basically the end of the movie.

For snoyfriends to cry for another 7 years because their victim complex is unparalleled.

The only one that really has any hope is Mulan, and that's because it is a real story that exists outside of Disney animation. It's been adapted to live action in China many times already with success.
But Lion King is probably the worst offender of missing the point of what made the animations great. (Even though Lion King was a plagiarization of a Japanese movie.. but that's another story.)

sony was also the first company to actually support crossplay too, all the way back on ps2 with all the mmos, and even on ps3 and ps4 with more mmos and shit like portal 2. paid online is universal at this point (in the console space) so I think people just pass over it.

Because retards bought into PS+. If you had just copied the Japanese and refused to touch it the first couple of years, it'd be fucking dead now across all platforms.

Games will get even more expensive to make pushing all smaller studios to primarily develop for the switch and steam (ported from switch months after launch). The bigger studios like rockstar, EA, Activision and Ubisoft who can continue to afford to make mega budget games will make games less frequently and rely more on 4k remasters of ps4 games. The ps5 will still sell well despite this because it has fifa, call of duty and grand theft auto. It won't sell as well as the ps4 though. I predict 115 million lifetime for the ps4 and 85 million lifetime for the ps5.

I can see this happen, also the Japanese home console market just keeps on shrinking. A lot of the smaller japanese devs wont even have incentive to bother anymore.
