Redpill me Yea Forums, is Secret of Mana a good game?
Redpill me Yea Forums, is Secret of Mana a good game?
Yes. It’s definitely a lot weaker and clearly rushed in its latter parts, but still enjoyable.
What's better Secret of Mana or Seiken Densetsu 3?
It's good because it's a great game with flaws.
It's one of my favorites though. I enjoyed the grinding.
I still don't know the main story but I enjoyed the mini stories.
GOAT music though
The one you played first
Nah. The gameplay is a janky mess and the RPG mechanics suck.
Seiken 3.
Not rushed, just dismembered and sewn back together.
It was originally going to be a release title for the Nintendo Cd. That shit got axed and became the CD-i, so Square had to make a game that was meant to be on a cd-rom fit on a snes cartridge, so about 30%+ of the content ended up being cut.
It is a great game though, one of my top 5.
Haven't played it since Christmas '93 but I remember it being a lot of fun with great graphics and music.
Reminder that Chrono Trigger was SoM's original code name, and that much of the content cut from SoM was recycled for CT.
Seiken 3, no contest
I'm playing this in the collection and I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay. The sword charge just makes it a bit tedious, and the game feels kind of floaty in general. It's still pretty cool but feels like a pretty early SNES release.
Legend of Mana is far comfier and has a better soundtrack prove me wrong
It's a great game, it's def a bit overrated but you should totally check it out.
I love mario rpg but it wouldnt make my top 5. This one may be #5
I still get sad about it to this day, i had hopes that they might restore some of the cut content in the remake. But no, they just made the graphics look like shit.
No, its fucking trash and I can not believe it's on the SNES classic instead of Chrono Trigger.
Well, it's great that they saved all that content for an actually good game.
My grandma beat it and loved it
>I can not believe it's on the SNES classic instead of Chrono Trigger
Chrono Trigger is on mine.
Yes.
No.
Maybe.
Can you repeat the question?
terrible combat, plays like its got lag
It's okay.
its very fun when playing with a friend. musics great. kind of easy though since you can chain magic easy and cheese every boss.
Am I the only one who dropped this shit? Combat system was garbage
Combat is wonky as fuck and the game feels like it struggled to save space at every turn, but there's no indication of where that saved space went.
Still, it's soulful and its good design shines through well. A diamond in the rough.
>co-op rpg
It's great
I remember the partner AI being really dumb and getting itself killed a lot.
>there's no indication of where that saved space went
The game was supposed to be on the CD add-on for the SNES, over 50% of it was cut when the SNES-DD was shitcanned at the last second and they basically had no time at all to make it fit onto a cartridge.
