Yeah. A bunch of the long timers could really use updates. All of the new characters get cool gimmicks and faithful movesets, which The oldies obviously deserve and they have plenty of games to choose from.
There are a few who got cool new shit like every zelda character, but if they're going to take mario's cool down b and replace it with fludd then it should at least get the hover nozzle when used in air

I actually had the same thought after seeing Sans, I guess my main problems with miis thus far has been well- the mii being visible

characters whos art styles fit well with their proportions and can be entirely covered could actually be perfectly acceptable as mii costumes instead of terrible disappointments

I think Viewtiful Joe is a good choice, however unlikely

Its a little late now, but Shovel Knight would be perfect as a sword fighter costume and we know theres no problem with overlapping assists and mii costumes

The proportions were really fucky in Smash 4. The biggest Mii was like the size of Mario. Midget Black Knight looks stupid next to Ike, for example. The proportions work for Sans though.

Mystical Ninjas Goemon was actually a perfect suit for the Mii costume and so is Sans. This is the first time I've seen Mii's as a decent possibility for fighters.

If they made the classic big helmet DOomguy design into a Mii gunner costume I wouldn't even be mad honestly. I never even made a Mii for Switch until Goemon came out, so I'd make a MiiGunner as well if hey put classic Doomguy into the mix.

Not really. Forcing Steve to be a Mii Swordfighter means that you end up making him human limbs. Why would that be better than the alternative of making him a fully-fledged fighter with fitting animations, and appealing to the parts people like about the character (moveset potential)?

But adding onto that with my own ideas, I'd personally get rid of that video's neutral B and replace it with an inventory system where you can pull out various Minecraft items. Creeper Egg spawns a Creeper on the stage, Trident can be thrown and makes someone stuck in place, Beacon is a held block that fires out a laser beam, Poison Splash potion which applies a lingering poison, and a generic throwable item (peach turnip) in the form of a diamond, potato, or book. I like the rest of the video though.
