How is having to buy a specific piece of hardware whose gimmick caters to a very specific demographic good for the consumer? I don't ride a bus to work and the times I play vidya I have access to a TV/PC monitor. I don't value the handheld feature at all and I have a perfectly functional and more powerful PC to play the games. I just can't because Nintendo/Sony decide I have to put their hardware for no reason. Imagine if you had to buy 3 separate $300-400 DVD players to watch certain movies. It's just industry standard at this point so hardly anyone questions this ass backwards logic. Defending it is console faggotry. It's the very fucking definition. Any game should be playable on any hardware as long as the specs are up to the task.
