I pirated the Wii U version uncensored and I can tell you right now, the swimsuit is overrated. The goofy tomboy outfit Tsubasa gets is WAY better and I hope it is in the Switch version. It's great. Basically has an improved SJ battle system, the story is fun, the characters are likable and mesh well together, and it doesn't have all the social downtime BS of Persona weighing it down. The dungeons are so fucking good.

What you have to keep in mind is that the game almost didn't happen.
Apparently there were no fewer than FOUR (4) prototypes for an "SMTxFE" created, and every single one was turned down by Atlus higherups. Nintendo was on the verge of saying "Oh well, fuck it then," and told Atlus if they could not come up with a concept for the game in a certain timeframe then they would be pulling support.
So the character designer came up with #FE at what might as well have been the last minute and at that point there wasn't enough time for people to say no.

TMS is a reoccurring archetype in the game, focusing heavily on discards. recycling, and field spam. These cards are what made me warm up to TMS and willing to try the Switch rerelease, but I have no hope in the story.

As for FEH...it's not impossible. If the most recent seasonal banner is anything to go on, having more offensive dancers doesn't seem to out there, and the game does have support for unit transformations if they want to have the whole Carnage Form gimmick. It's mostly if IntSys is willing to open up the game to the spin-offs. I wouldn't mind having the Warriors' Twins to be in the game and have...a semblance of a personality and uniqueness.

When I hear things like the story being retarded and ending up as another retread of Shadow Dragon, or the characters being flat stereotypes who's arcs go nowhere, or the main protagonist being locked into the first party slot OUT OF THREE, I am very inclined to believe that the game is not good and no amount of censorship would change that fact.

It’s just boring, the game gives up very early on, and it becomes a chore to do stuff through the easy-ass, near autopilot gameplay, with almost no fun story shit to speak of or dating shit like in the more popular Persona series it’s derivative of, it’s really only there for the admittedly comfy visuals & characters, and almost nothing else. Hopefully the new content with Barry & Maiko implies new story sections, and there’s some changes made to the battle system & QoL to make it a more engaging experience, but I’m not holding my breath.
Kiria is admittedly really hot, sings good, and has a cute substory, but it’s a shame that zipper panties got cut.
