There should have been another Pokemon Trainer in Smash that represents the gen. Litten, Brionne and Decideueye. If Ken + Ryu and a bunch of similar swordies can be in the roster, I don't see the problem of multiple pokemon trainers too. Especially since their movesets will be way more varied.
