The manga is complete shit too. Instead of finding a clever way to deal with the Eldian story, Hacksayama has to rely on bullshit time powers and Eren undeservedly has 3 titans. Mikasa was implied to be a princess or a descendant or some shit? Zeke's motivation is pure retardation for a guy whose supposed to be smart. And the nonstop plot armor has really gotten stale.

I think this might be one of the best descriptions of attack on titan. A lot of great ideas, but not much payoff because the writing is a letdown. Like with Eren, he's mature and edgier but he's still boring as fuck. It's the only popular series I know where there isn't a single charismatic character. Boku no Normie Academia has All Might, Wan Piss has Shanks, Whitebeard, Naruto has Rock Lee. attack on titan just has nothing in the way of personality or entertainment value. It just tries to be profound in the most basic way using the most bland characters ever but the author isn't witty enough to make it interesting.

It's a great series. But most importantly, it deserves our support even if you don't like it because it's the first popular series in a while that has 0, and I mean 0 moe or fanservice.

Found the pleb who watched the first season tops and thinks he's up to speed on what the manga is about. The amount of 4D chess being played since the start is pretty staggering. Not all of it good obviously, but enough to make it my favorite monthly release
