He's not a bad addition per se but very few people have reason to be -excited- by him. Fighting games are niche - so niche that Smash was made to make them more appealing. It shouldn't be a surprise people are mostly lukewarm about him, but outright anger especially after they announced more DLC is stupid.
Don't care about him but I was mad before he was actually revealed. No point staying hurt when Banjo released on the same day, though.
