As people have already mentioned, classic point and clicks. Feels like the majority of them were all comedic in nature, definitely the most famous and well-remembered ones. When I was younger I laughed my ass off at the Monkey Island games, Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle, Simon the Sorcerer, Discworld, all of them. Even ones that weren't primarily comedy still had a lot of funny lines - Broken Sword, Longest Journey, etc. I'd say many of these embodied comedy as a video game genre

It becomes a little harder to do a "comedy" game if you're making like a third person shooter or something but games like the first Jak & Daxter, the Ratchet & Clank series, Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Psychonauts spring to mind. For RPGs the first things I thought of were ZHP Unlosing Ranger and Anachronox

I never got why this game didn't blow up like say, Undertale did, it's a genuinely well written and funny game that's well thought out and has a ton of secret content and room for headcanons.

It did not have good music and there was little an artest could do with it, communites need the creative faggots about to keep it going.

You gotta admit his newest special is kind of meh though, his first two Netflix ones were fucking amazing but the third one dropped the ball considerably, it really feels like he's being edgy for the sake of being edgy.

Came in to post 64 and TTYD, they were a lot of fun the entire time.

I've been getting new Point and Click games recommended to me on Steam. Is the genre growing or is it being fed by an ultra small niche? And can anyone name some recent and point and clicks? I was interested in Primordia but I missed its super cheap sale by a day or whatever

The thing is, Chapelle has been known for being edgy and counter-culture for almost two decades now, and boy has this motherfucker been funny since then, sure times have changed and you gotta sharpen your act to stay relevant but i feel like he lost some of his finesse with his most recent work.

Thing is, shit needs to be FUNNY. The jokes need to work above all else. Daniel Tosh and Anthony Jeselnik do extremely edgy humor, much edgier than this, and manage to keep it funny. Deadly Premonition and Portal come to mind.

It's still somewhat the same niche it turned into early 00s but it still has some decent offerings, I haven't played much of the recent ones but Gemini Rue was fun if short, have yet to get around to the other WE games.
Adventure game elements sort of got integrated into almost every other genre so I have a hard time seeing how it could ever become as big as it was in the 90s, when it was one of the few genres focusing almost exclusively on dialogue/writing and puzzles.

Bender's voice actor is in this game and that alone is worth a playthrough.

The first half of the special was just not good. It was lazy, the "jokes" were rehashed from his earlier specials, and was mostly just him complaining that he 'can't say anything anymore', while saying everything he wants to say. The latter half was him actually telling jokes and being funny much more akin to his older standup.

Chapell falls into the category of people who think they're being attacked for telling jokes when in reality Dave just isn't telling funny jokes. Louis CK did a much better job approaching controversial subjects while still making the jokes punchy.

I just got my BS in Math. There was no political talk whenever I was taking any courses related to my major, even talking with my professors outside of class. I did however have to take some Political Science and Sociology.

The political science teachers were very much just trying to get the basics out. It was more like advanced government, such as how the system works. History of the system, etc. One of them liked discussions and didn't share her views on things. At one point one of the people in our class, when we got to abortion protections, said that abortion was never okay even in the case of rape, incest, or harm to the mother. He wasn't silenced or anything, we all just moved on.

The only teacher I had that really let political beliefs out in the class was an elderly conservative Jewish professor for a Sociology class. He would defend Donald Trump, and plugged his book about how Liberals were ruining discourse in America.

I know people always talk about politics in school, but mine seemed to... not care. There were some seminars held trying to establish Jesus as a historical figure rather than just an amalgam for the book, but outside of that there weren't really any talks or anything political or religious on campus the entire time I went there.

All five were great. The fifth was undeniably his weakest one but still good. Someone make some power levels and tier lists of all 5.
