Dark Souls 2 has aged really well. I don't play 1 anymore after the shitty remaster, but I go back to Scholar of the First Sin every now and then.
It has it's fair share of problems, but it does enough good things to make up for them.

Is saying that DS2 is bad a meme? It's my favorite Dark Souls game.
DS1 had great map design and the atmosphere is amazing. DS3 had great story progression and really good bosses. But holy shit, DS2 had amazing maps (that sadly didn't feel connected) and the best combat in any of the DS games, specially for PVP. Also, the best DLCs.
