>As a series, Maxis’ The Sims is enjoyed the world over. With so many different cultures invested in the life simulation games, Maxis has done well to accommodate their different tastes. In an upcoming update, another culture will be finally introduced: the Muslim culture. >Maxis revealed that a host of Muslim cultural items will be added to the title. Alongside architectural items inspired by Muslim buildings; clothing items will also be added. >These new items will all be included as part of the game’s fifth anniversary update. For female Sims, a hijab will be available and can be mix-and-matched with any other clothing item you wish. Patterned dresses, traditional cultural shirts and more will also be introduced. As for buildings, pointed archways, gorgeous ornate doors and patterned windows will be available to use. >Alongside this new Muslim cultural inclusion, gameplay tweaks are being introduced. The big one? Customisable, configurable stairs! From now on, players will have more control over how staircases are built. You can even make a maze of staircases!
This content should have come paired with a new town.

play as sims mia khalifa. i mean doesn't everybody just go rampant with mods?
Gavin Edwards
Will I get the option to beat my wife?
Jordan Taylor
>implying the muslims coming to your town isn't accurate
Easton Lopez
>And still someone will be mad over it Sure. How come there aren't any Indian saris or Chinese cheongsams added with the update? What about the other ethnic groups?
Gavin Adams
Rocks and acid are different DLCs. You need to purchase them separately.
Isaac King
This is good for everyone. If you like muslims you can play with them. If you hate muslims you can beat the crap over them.
Hunter Lewis
Or even better, why not include themed city or journey/trip
Landon Hughes
Well it's a ginormous game I'm surprised it took them this long.
That option has been there since the first game.
Nicholas Diaz
They can do that too but there's no reason not to also include a middle eastern city or something.
Josiah Reyes
I could have sworn there was but maybe that was Sims 3?
Imthought the sim world was agnostic, and had nothing to do with the actual world or any kind of religion? You know, the same way they use simoleons instead of dollars or shit like that.
Now I hope there is an expansion on the way that let's you get in the clergy business. And here is the twist: instead of asking the player to make friends in order to get a promotion, you have to molest kids.
Noah Young
world adventures for 3 had france, egypt and china cultural items/sims/content

>get to go around town and fuck brown girls in hijabs as a white man based
Asher Smith
This is Arab inspired, there is 2 billion Muslims & most of them don't live in the Middle East, fucking stupid americans
Juan White
Nice addition for my porn edition. Can't wait to make harems.
Understandable, though, since the sims is a life simulation game. It isn't weird if it tries to include other cultures into it. If they include hijab outfit to something like Monster Hunter, now you can call that forced diversity.
Lincoln Collins
Or nonbinary dragon ;^)
Leo Cox
>all those mid-east girls who played Sims and enjoyed a world where they didn't need a hijab are now forced to make their sims have a hijab
Michael Cox
I live in Israel and there's always cute Muslim girls on the bus and I want to RIP of their hijab and fuck them right then and there, I know that's animalistic and I never would but they're very cute. And a sort of forbidden fruit
I've had a hijab mod in for years for fetish purposes. I'm more than okay with this addition.
Carson Scott
This is retarded. A lot of cultures had some sort of head cover for females. They should add ancient Russian architecture and women's head cover handkerchief
Aiden Flores
How xenophobic of them.
Carter Collins
There are some hot outfits for muslim women, not in a slutty way but revealing the contours enough that you can jerk off thinking about what's underneath. It's a just a shame that maxis went with the grandma tier fashion.
Justin Wood
This is welcoming addition. We need to make video games more inclusive and this is a good start. This is not enough though. We need to directly combat the toxic masculinity and negative female and racial stereotypes represented in the video game industry. That includes more LGBTQ+ characters and less cisgendered white males.
EA needs to do more than that to earn my respect. Absolutely fucking disgusting. Do they really think they can buy me off just like that?

Yea Forums's dream of marrying a dozen of prepubescent girls will finally come true!
>more virtue signalling Your saintly muslim women will be defiled by scores of BBC in wicked whims. People don't get mad at these additions, they just know what do do with them.
>adding the most pressing means of total patriarchal dominance over women What do the feminists have to say about this? Is there an option to keep female sims from speaking in public as well?
Reading this thread has been a bit shit, since it's all /pol/ tier garbage. I've clocked a fair few hours in the Sims series, including around a thousand in 4 and this decision my Maxis/EA is being criticised for a number of reasons: >Religion has neve been present in the Sims series, anyone posting on the forums asking for Christian iconography is mocked by other users for it. In most cases they get a passive-aggressive response from a SimGuru (dev) >In The Sims 4 however, Jewish items were introduced in a free pack with flavour text explaining it. Seems completely out of place in the series, but generally allowed to slide since it was free content >Adding items like hijabs seems unusual since it is worn for religious purposes. Since there is no religion in the game, nor is it being added doing it makes no sense >Maxis/EA argues that adding it is because it is "cultural" clothing, which is a term that could be applied to the apparel of any religion, but clearly isn't being considered Obviously some complaints have been made about Christmas trees being present, but since the holiday is referred to as "Winterfest", it can hardly be seen as religious.
In the scheme of things, it probably doesn't really matter since you can choose not to use it.

>girl wearing hijab during blowjob in first person mode muh

It's really just fashion

i don't see the problem
you'd be surprised how many women actually play sims 4

None of them but I'm slightly okay with the Hijab and Dupatta I guess. They at least look like clothing.
Adam Moore
It's not oppression when brown men do it. Only white men can oppress women. That's like first day college stuff.

Who gives a shit, we need to talk about the most groundbreaking feature to ever be added to Sims: >stairs >THAT CAN ROTATE >at any point I seriously don't understand why this shit wasn't included at launch for any of the games. Hell I don't think you can even do it in 3 (without cheats), and for 2 they could only bend near the floor by using platforms.
Isaac Parker
Absolutely based, women should be covered up and not able to leave the house without their man's permission. Thank you EA.
Please help us further by removing all the "LGBT" content from the games. It is very offensive to Muslim culture.
Thomas Gray
my character already sucked off BBCs,time to suck some muslim cock?
>stairs that can rotate >why this shit wasn't included at launch Becaus nobody at Maxis can code for shit. Old forum posts from actual SimGurus blame it on "engine limitations" which actually means nobody has the know-how to do it. >I don't think you can do it in 3 No you can't, but then there was actual content and spiral, staircases which could be used in small houses/boats. Not sure if you're being sarcastic but crediting Maxis for adding basic shit (like pools, toddlers and now stairs) is why we have the shit that they call a Sims game that we have now.
Parker Cruz
>Not sure if you're being sarcastic [...] crediting Maxis for adding basic shit Maximum sarcasm, I was less giving them "credit" and more expressing my exasperation that it's taken them literally four games to figure out how to do stairs that are common to many houses and office buildings. It's taken nearly two decades for something that should have been included from the very beginning. It's mind-boggling incompetence.
Evan Cox
>Maximum sarcasm Nice to see, considering every forum that talks about 4 has gone apeshit about it. Even posters over on /vg/ are all giddy over the new feature. Its more annoying that options to go up floors have been removed between 3 and this one. I'm genuinely amazed the game has gotten this far considering how poorly the game is made and the number of glaring bugs present that they can neither replicate (with player directions!) nor fix.
But like you say, we've got angled staircases and hijabs now, for free, so I guess all is forgiven.
