Is Gord's 4B of any use? Kinda wanna use it in combos but starting with it seems not too good.

its his best button, absolutely godlike. great hitbox, low crushes, hurtbox retraction, one of his best starters in terms of damage, nice stagger window, crumples on CH. use it often
It's pretty much the same as a 5B, except it's slightly longer and doesn't bring you forward. The knockback's a bit different in combos so it has it's specific uses. It's good for poking as a starter.

Once you graduate out of the usual 2C > [jC] stuff, you start to use 2C (first hit) > 5B/4B > jC > jB > 3C for better variation of combo enders that lets you end with corner carry, meter, and other stuff. That first hit of 2C is something you need to get used to for gord stuff outside of beginner combos
22A is safe as hell, the problem is that the start-up is long and as clawz showed, you can punish the 66C with shield. Might be me delaying it too much too
Yeah. Messing around with the first hit stuff was tough when I tried learning it the last few days.
Still haven't found how to get the 3C to connect yet. I do want to incorporate as many of his specials as I can since right now Mortal Slide and his grab (that's part of the last bit of Mortal Slide Rekka) is really all I've got haha.
22A is +7 it shouldn't be punishable even on shield

Jab > microdash > throw will get them right after the gold throw window ends for most if not all characters

You just have to get used to the timing. You get get a gold throw up until around 6f after the blockstun of your last attack ends.

Its just what Ive heard and is consistent with tier lists I've seen. Granted, not saying he seems bad, in fact if he really is he worst character he's very playable for it.
I'm struggling the most with Byakuya, but all the zoner matchups are tough. I'm also not really sure what situations i should use the DP in and when I should go for the counter.

That one you'll struggle with because any attempt to seriously delay your strings will just end up with him poking out. Best to note out their habits, what exactly with the match-up are you having issue with?

Are you having trouble with people who throw projectiles a lot? Because Enkidu has multiple means of getting through those while he'll have to struggle like everybody else with long range physical attacks

Your 623A and 623B are 5 frame, head invuln only, they're not real reversals. 623C is the one you want to use for that purpose. You can use it in between gaps using CS

Depends on the opponent and if they mash out a lot. Try to end something unsafe like 3C, delay for a bit, and then cancel into 214A. Don't bother with 214B and only use 214C if they're pressuring you up close.

Most generic advice is learn to dashblock well using the A+B shortcut. When you get in, 22B works pretty well against Yuzu and I assume Hilda even though it's +0. This is because both those characters don't really have good normals to challenge a well-spaced 22B compared to Enkidu's normals.
Felt a little better tonight than last night. Think I'm progressing at stagger and whiffing 2a/5a to end strings, just gotta drill it in. Gonna head off but GGs psn

Against Byakuya I find it very difficult keeping up pressure without it getting reversed, and in general I find his pressure difficult to deal with.

I felt like I was shielding better at least, didn't really do much for my offensive plan though. You were getting way more licks in and made them have to block more than me.

Tends to happen. If your Byak tends to poke out a lot, try to throw in some 214As in there to try and discourage him from doing so. It's paramount you know when your turn is over so you don't try and be greedy and just eat a fat counter hit. Do byaks you fight block your 5[C] or poke out of them?

This feels like a general thing more than just an Enkidu struggle, you just have to really see what their habits are or just shore up on your blocking. Try more defensive CSs if you can win the vorpal cycle. If he's jumping around with webs like a madman over your head, try your FF because that's one of the easiest anti-airs to land.

Besides my drops and OS failures, I think I needed that to reinforce to myself that I'm clearly getting way too mashy on defense these days.
I'm not surprised at all that's a thing.
Tutorial gives you insight into overall mechanics of the game and the Character specific tutorials gives you a bit of the combo theory in a characters toolkit. But yeah, the lobbies here will make you grow, provided you stick around and observe what you are (or aren't) doing and what others are doing.
I've been meaning to jump back into these but since you yanks do it at midnight it's like 7am for me.
