She gets in the way of shipping, so she won't.

Fuck me that game was so kino. I'm replaying AA the trilogy right now and I can't wait till T&T, bros.

Same
T&T was so damn good

Same. I just finished AA's last case and I'm thinking pretty hard about skipping to T&T.

will ace attorney be included in capcoms redemption arc?

Just if they port AJ + Investigations and localize DGS.

If they make a game set slightly after T&T with the same level of writing that has no connection to AA4, then I'll redeem them on the spot.

They're possibly acknowledging at least if user is telling the truth

Attached: 1567742606603.png (1138x595, 244K)

Iris's relationship with Phoenix was the most retarded shit.
>it wasn't my psycho sister you dated, it was actually me!
>and I knew she was trying to kill you but I didn't say anything because the writers threw this in last minute with barely any thought

All-stars is fine but you can tell how often they take this approach just looking at how many times Morrigan has been a "All-star" in one of these games and then 15 others characters from Darkstalkers get benched, we want you to use ALL your characters capcom just choosing one representative from a series you used to care about is way to old at this point

She should be getting out of prison one of these days desu

but iris is best girl

Attached: 1348F5F0-23BD-476F-9DB8-E9A47BC3B390.png (190x160, 6K)

T&T is overrated

>476916970
you

>I knew she was trying to kill you
She said pretty clearly she didn't know what Dahlia was up to that day.

don’t you wanna play the engarde case?

Yes, that's why I can't bring myself to skip JfA.

That case really managed to win me over on JfA. No small feat.

I figured they were building to him being the villain, but the reveal still surprised me

Why though? It has best overall cases, best prosecutor, best story and themes. It's literally the game getting better with each entry.
>inb4 based

>skipping a game that has fewer cases and will take less time to play

What are the odds of them porting 4-6 to Switch?

I was completely expecting it to turn out that he was legally innocent of the murder, but a total dickhead that would be unsavory to defend.

fuck it, have a based

I wish you luck, friend.

>comes back
>as a murder victim

Attached: (You).jpg (641x546, 64K)

what if I'm shipping her and Phoenix

then you’re a fellow man of culture

I hate how the HD Trilogy looks. I hope my 3ds never dies.

Glad to see there's some decent taste left on this board.

Attached: super_stylish.png (217x211, 18K)

perfection

Attached: 1556801992423.jpg (412x600, 170K)

I thought I was the only one
The sprites are too smooth, it's just not right

As a character she was pretty boring though

I played the 3DS trilogy and even then I'm thinking of going back and playing the trilogy on DS for the classic sounds and look.

T&T was great

>TGS is next week

Please
Please

AA had a remarkable waifu game.

I want to protect this smile.

Attached: Adrian_Smiling.gif (256x192, 15K)

Adrian or maybe Viola is my favorite AA gal.

Just give me the 3DS games on console Capcom, PLEASE

At this point Morrigan is "that chick from MvC" and not "that chick from Darkstalkers"

What would AA7 even be about? There's only one loose end left, and it's been there since AA4.
I'd think we'd be better off with an AA0 prequel, 3.5, or a maya game. What do you think?

Attached: 1563541302218.png (299x299, 133K)

thats why she’s so perfect

Attached: 4BC94BAB-6756-4FC6-BECD-FDD76BDA9F22.png (500x377, 256K)

3.5 please

AA is always best when they pull shit out of their ass and somehow connect the dots

People are ignoring that T&T, AAI2 and SoJ did this and yet for some reason people pretend it's a 3DS thing

I really don't care what it is, AA always manages to surprise and write some good shit regardless of the scattered opinions, more AA is always great.

>AA0 prequel
I wonder if it's possible to cover cases such as the DL-6 Incident in a game or if we know too much at this point for the writers to be able to do all their ass pulls and twists. Alternatively, a Mia game. I can't remember if it's covered why she started her own firm, but you could do something with that.

>Mia game

Attached: ascended.jpg (225x225, 6K)

Attached: tier list.png (970x1472, 1.06M)

Shit list

>AA6 is rated M
>wait what
>remember that one part
What the fuck was going on with that last case, the whole "I put my dead mom on a robot repair station and she got tore apart by it" thing was out of left fucking field

Attached: 1563674257724.png (400x480, 189K)

Excellent list

People will probably disagree but i too absolutely agree that both AAi1 and Apollo are both better than the first game

The first game is just TOO vanilla

I don't understand why the word "high tier" is higher praise than "great tier" in your list.

They still have not elaborated on how Phoenix and Athena met. The next games are probably going to be more Athena centric since Phoenix and Apollo have had their trilogy. Also, the black locks need to be expanded upon, damn it! I can't believe such an interesting concept got a shitty explanation in DD and then is forgotten forever.

>6 above shit tier
disgusting list

Hey guys, remember the Jurist system?
Remember Gumshoe?

Remember best girl Franzy

Attached: 1567127589284.jpg (507x709, 116K)

Just finished the trilogy, what should I play next?

AA4

It was either that or AAI. Should I play AAI last?

Yea Forums sucks AAI's dick but I didn't like it.

Please give us something next week Capcom, this is my last hope...

Attached: 60808573_p0.jpg (700x615, 327K)

Imagine Godot in court for the Kick Vic case.

“Here’s the deal, witless. Every time you told a lie to this court today I drank one cup of coffee. I drank every thirteen cups in your opening statement alone. Now. How many lies did you tell?

Yea Forums sucks AAI2's dick, not AAI. AAI was pretty mediocre.

AAI is pretty boring until the last 2 cases, but it's worth it for AAI-2

Reminder that Rise from the Ashes is STILL the best case in the series

And that Ema is the cutest girl in the world

It's not even the best case in its own game

would you like to provide evidence to back up your claims?

1-4 is a perfect tie up to the narrative of the game and has a greater emotional payout.

Also, 1-5's first day sucks. Sure after that it becomes absolutely bananas and amazing but that first day fucking sucks.

Are Phoenix Wright games ever going to have an acceptable cast of characters ever again, in terms of numbers?
The first game had an increasing number of characters with each case, peaking at like a dozen (of which 5 could realistically be the culprit in the end), JFA's last case had a fuckton of people in it, TTA's numbers weren't as huge, but they still kept it hard to guess and with the entire cast being there from the start of the case.
Then came Apollo, the last game to actually feature a complete case, but that already showed signs of depopulation.

Which leads us to Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice.
What the fuck happened?

Every single case, no matter how long or important it is (most notably the last one), has like three people in it.
Victim, primary suspect, second suspect. THE END.
And every time they try really hard to spruce it up (by making a single character count for two, by introducing them mid-trial, by making the victim the culprit, etc), but there's just SO LITTLE CHOICE when trying to deduce stuff, that it doesn't even matter.
By process of elimination, you end up understanding everything way too soon, and it's never interesting even when something is a "surprise".

Not to mention, the back-and-forth nature of trial and investigation from the first 3 games is completely gone.
You don't go investigating and interrogating people anymore after new developments in the case require it (because there simply isn't a cast big enough to allow for that).
The case just starts, someone dies, you examine one-two rooms they explicitly tell you to comb through, then you go to trial until it's over.

Did they change directors/writers?
Why are the more recent games so lackluster on such a basic, easily fixable level?
Just add more people to the cases, god fucking damnit.

Attached: 1295883598370.png (344x499, 50K)

>By process of elimination, you end up understanding everything way too soon, and it's never interesting even when something is a "surprise".
Contributing to that, there's also how even the most important twists are spoiled to you by the game itself, with cartoonish "It couldn't be...could it? No...it's not possible..." moments in which you're hammered over the head with the "twist" until you're just sick of it and by the time it comes around you're just relieved they'll stop acting coy about it.

In Spirit of Justice, Rayfa's real descendancy as well as Nahyuta's could have been an amazing twist, but they just had to take out that dumb picture a billion times, every time going "Mhh...there's something wrong...what could it be...", with both involved characters acting weird about it and making it obvious as fuck.

2-4 > 3-5

Yes

2-4 > 3-5 > 1-4 > 1-5 > AAI2-5 > 5-5 > 6-5 > AAI-5 > 4-4 > LvW-finalcase

>did they change directors/writers?
Yes.

Attached: 1556383623067.jpg (2220x1080, 582K)

The trails for PLvPW were top tier though
It was so nice to have one that didn't turn into a murder either.

It's funny how aai has like 10+ characters on one screen.

That's why it's shit.

Shu didn't work on AJ at all. He's only there as Special Thanks at best.

I disagree.

DGSI when?

It's a standard writer conflict that basically every writer hits eventually. Every writer is typically given the same piece of advice rehashed in different ways "Don't add unnecessary elements"/"Don't add useless fluff"/"Don't bloat the writing".

With most fiction genres, since the cast is intimately tied to the plot, characters are intimately tied to the "fear of bloat". The most basic story structure requires the least amount of characters (and also the least amount of work). Adding characters introduces complexity, but it also creates problems because each character stresses the overall "consistency" and "uniqueness".

Eventually the writer hits the dilemma - every new character introduced technically needs the same level of background work in order to make them fit internally within the writer's headspace, but the audience doesn't see this because they only get a portion of the "overall picture", which leads to some characters being seen as useless by the audience even though the writer may have a critical purpose for them. The writer's craft needs to be excellent in order to make every character fit (and more important, for the audience to buy in to it), otherwise they develop a reputation as a writer that "adds fluff for no reason" - and once they have this reputation it is hard to break. This is a risk that comes with all writing.

So what do you do when you're risk adverse? You minimize the cast as much as possible and rely on proven names. Sure, it simplifies the story and it locks you in as a writer to specific interactions (because the characters have to maintain internal cohesion), but it also makes the writing process "safer" and easier.

He composed the song on THAT video and created Apollo, but yeah, he wasn't a writer or director like before.

>the back-and-forth nature of trial and investigation from the first 3 games is completely gone.
This is the biggest loss for the series imho
Phoenix's "bluff and buy time" strategy makes no sense when trials never get readjourned to the next day and when no new information is ever added to the trial, his floundering at this point is just a meme that serves no purpose in the new INTRO > INVESTIGATION > TRIAL > END formula

My heart has been fully erect for years now. They NEED to get married next game.

You can probably skip most of JFA. Cases like the first or third one don't really have that much of an impact on the trilogy and the third one especially was just a filler case with nothing really noteworthy.

That's not Jezail.

how about a grossberg game

yeah
was so confused when 6-2 was hella rushed when it could've easily been a 2 day case

day 1 ends with the bombshell of the Bunny/Bat stuff
back to the crimescene, find more stuff
Then day 2 is you vs Robert Downey Jr

For me it's
> S+
Life Action Films
> S
Trials & Tribulations, Investigations 2
> A
Dual Destinies, Ace Attorney 1 + Rise from the Ashes, Apollo Justice
> B
Investigations, Justice for All
> C
Prof. Layton vs. Phoenix Wright, Spirit of Justice

But it was a 2 day case?

>Robert Downey Jr
You mean Johnny Depp

2 day case means 2 trial days
this only had 1

>>> S+
>Life Action Films
Wait, what?

>S
T&T, GK2
>A+
AA, DD
>A
JFA, SoJ
>B
PLvsPW
>C
AAI, AJ

my bad, pluralized "film" on instinct

>yfw Gumshoe comes back as chief of police
>yfw he's the victim in the final case

Chief of Confetti maybe

NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK YOU NEED TO FUCK MY COUSIN!!!!!!!!!1

Attached: SoJ_Pearl_Fey_-_determined_3.gif (256x192, 39K)

rude

Is Pearly legal now?

Damn

>yo Nick, it's Maya's cousin! let's go bowling!

Attached: pearl booty.jpg (1330x2085, 225K)

Don't get any ideas, she's a cuckquean for Nick.

Biggest takeaway I have from this image is that AA games need better boxart

>Pearl with tits
Just plain wrong, she's permaflat.

I meant, the movie is good?

Gumshoe will come back as Maggey's husband.

Not him, but it's alright for a video game movie.

Gumshoe deserves better

>Gumshoe deserves better than the cute girl he's in love with
I don't follow.

Maggey is shit, she also has constant bad luck.

>bad luck
She's a serial murderer

That's not Pearl that's Mia

>Dhurke
>The different character dynamics every case
>Ema isn’t grouchy
>Maya actually grew up
>Trucy and the gramary sequel plot

Besides the stupid DLC case, SoJ is absolutely fucking amazing and absolutely deserves to be next to T&T and AAI2

I want to eat her and Dahlia's poo.

Garbage taste.
The game being "vanilla" makes the more outlandish stuff stick out more.

after seeing nintendo direct leaks on Yea Forums I'm convinced that it's bullshit

i didn't care for investigations, that embassy case lasted too long for me

been slowly playing dgs on an android emulator. people kept saying capcom didn't want to bring it over because of legal reasons, but maybe it was all the racism that they were actually worried about

Attached: Screenshot_2019-09-05-09-47-39.png (1920x1080, 1015K)

But it's racist against nips, not mutts.

>final case is her getting accused of killing gumshoe
>she says it’s her bad luck again
>final reveal is that she was guilty every time you defended her

>permaflat
poor girl, I wouldn't wish that horrid fate upon any woman

nothing americans love more than getting offended on other people's behalf

Attached: Screenshot_2019-08-10-16-38-41.png (1920x1080, 1.56M)

Why would you want a shitty serial killer to come back?

I didn't play 6.
Is there NickxMaya undertone?

Less than previous games, mostly due to Pearls not shipping them anymore IIRC. Was a while since I played tho.

There isn't any. They're straight up friends in the main game, and the DLC just has her back to her teenage self.

>add new lawyer characters
>still stick to phoenix for the most part
what the FUCK were they thinking? I wanna see Athena and especially Apollo, since all they've done with him so far is develop his backstory, mature more as lawyers and take on interesting/challenging cases. Some moral dilemmas a la 2-4 would be great as well.

should put ghost trick under also these desu

if any of you guys want something kinda like phoenix wright, play ghost trick. fun gameplay and cool story

Attached: Missile_Ghost_Trick.jpg (193x180, 16K)

Phoenix and Maya trying new crazy sex positions in between cases
The last case requires Nick to fill Maya's womb and knock her up.

I'm sure we'll get AJ2 someday.

Attached: Wright throws the best parties.png (859x1018, 1.15M)

Has there ever been any at all ever except Pearl wanting them to bone?

Is that fanart ?

official by AJ's char designer

Nope

No. They've always had a more sibling relationship.

Does Ema want to get Chords of Steel-ed?

Incest is pretty hot desu.
They should go through with it.

Attached: hiimdaisy.png (515x1023, 319K)

>Dhurke thinks she's his fiance in the final chapter
>she plays along

Not really, although Maya managed to jinx any chance of them getting married by accidentally making Nick catch some bad luck bouquet during the DLC case.

>they finally learn the truth in AA7
>Apollo is shocked
>Trucy already knew

Phoenix is a dick

Attached: Too late Wright.png (1116x1402, 1.55M)

A dick, or just trying to ensure there's a super magician lawyer offspring in play.

I want more porn of her

I RECOGNIZE THAT COUCH
rule34.paheal.net/post/view/2406522

Oh wait, you thought I was being serious, no the movie's fine I just enjoy the sheer narm of it all seeing live action versions of the bizarre poses and what not from the games is its own blessing.

no, but on the other hand, there's plenty of EdgeworthXPhoenix.
Man I hope they end up together.

>Can create a supernatural lawyer baby at any moment with his assistant
>Decide to become a double cuck by raising another mans daughter instead

Attached: 1548606939169.jpg (720x888, 81K)

Yeah but it's a Fey kid. There's a 99% chance it'll come out retarded

I played Phoenix Drive already.

That's just a bonus.

Attached: 9b5.jpg_large.jpg (410x482, 65K)

One thing I disliked with the latter entries in the series is how heavy-handed they became with the themes.
>DARK AGE OF THE LAW
>DARK AGE OF THE LAW
>DARK AGE OF THE LAW
The lack of subtlety in general is a wider problem in weeb entertainment.

Sorry, she was executed for multiple murders and is now being gangraped to death in hell, over and over again.

Who the fuck pushed the policeman in her first case anyway and where did she go after that?

You're confusing her for Dahlia. It's okay though, they are twins after all.

brainlet detected
They are the same person, Phoenix made up the whole twins story because she has him charmed just like every other guy.

that second point bothered me a lot too
she must have left the scene for the murderer to fake her name in the sand afterward but it's never stated why, plus i'm pretty sure the murderer was the one who phoned it in
then she never sees her name written down afterward even though the victim is her boyfriend and she's a policewoman, nobody questions or investigates if the glasses are hers or not, and nobody questions how he wrote her name when his neck broke on impact

what a stupid case

>nobody questions how he wrote her name when his neck broke on impact
Yeah fuck this, I thought of that too and then they go "no, faggot, he's left handed, it's literally impossible for him to write anything with his right hand"
Also doesn't she say later that they aren't even a couple?

The movie is fucking weird. I suppose it's okay, but some of the things it decides to change are... off. Maya is unrecognizable, they turned her from a hyperactive idiot into some kind of an emotionless ice queen.

>turnarounds trial 4 5 6
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Why Switch only though?

It also says there'll be a remaster and a western release of Dai Gyakuten.
Fake as shit but I want to believe.

>Also doesn't she say later that they aren't even a couple?
Yeah, but apparently everyone else thought they were.
