I just played past the first boss in the demo, and it ended up being better than I was expecting. The footage I had seen looked a bit iffy, but it's not bad. Definitely feels more like Dark Souls 2 in a few ways, but that was still a pretty good game. I'm not sure I'll be rushing out to buy it right away, but it's something I'll be keeping my eye on.

GMG has deluxe edition for the same price as standard on steam

Can't say I'm excited, but surge 1 had the best gameplay of all soulslike games, and the fact that I can just jump in and start killing shit without worrying about cutscenes/story is a huge plus.

Solid gameplay. The aesthetic and setting still does absolutely nothing for me though. I enjoyed making a hot girl character but that's about it.
Hope the final game has variety in levels and actually interesting level design, the main issue I can see is the game getting repetitive and bosses not being varied enough.
