There's nothing they could do to monetize it. There's no sub fee to force people into like osrs and wow, there was significantly less monetization options back in the day and people would bitch about how modern maple has perm cosmetics but pre-bb didn't. It's a lose lose scenario for nexon, both in terms of R&D and actual revenue flow. plus there are pservers that have been out for years now, and most barely scrape 800 players max on weekend primetime american time. Compared to shit like nostalrius which was in the thousands of players range, or some rs pservers like 07scape that had well over 5000.

Close range classes had shit accuracy, far range classes had high accuracy, so it was overall terrible to ever play anything other than spammy long range classes.

What's the consensus on Maple Royals? I had fun with it for a while. I like their NX system

I've only played to level 30 but it seems pretty good, fairly active and decent rates
