One of the best survival games that has the balls to challenge the player. Base weapon accuracy is ass though and can ruin the game. Matches is close to being a godlike mechanic.

Say that on akuma, say it, I fucking dare you. Say matches are OP on akuma. What is OP is the flash bolt, that thing is nutty.

I said it was godlike, which means it's made well. Different from overpowered. Also I will say it. It's good even in Akumu because as long as you don't fuck up.

That could be said for literally everything in the game. "Its good as as long as you don't fuck it up".

Hardly. For better or worse it is a significant game.

But I'm playing through the sequel right now, and it's really fucking good. Huge improvement over the first. Surprised more people don't talk about it.

I think it just throws you into the action real quick, shit just hits the fan.

I liked TEW1 a lot. It had some bad levels but I feel like it didn't finish too poorly. 11/12 are some god awful chapters though but 2-4/5 are pretty kino chapter 3 might be the best level design I've ever experienced in a horror game so many ways to tackle it and it felt oppressive as fuck the first playthrough.

TEW2 can suck a dick though. QoL changes were nice but it was probably the biggest downgrade of soul I've ever seen especially character interactions feeling super unfitting for such a violent game. The priest/artist forget the names sadly at this point were good though but the wife Sebs new personality and pretty much all side interactions were god awful.

Yeah, I loved upgrading my match inventory from three to four and a walk animation that looks as if he shit his pants. Unmemorable story, enemies and characters. Game is a six at best.

TEW2 is pretty good. I thought that the characters overall were fine and fitting, idk what you mean. His wife and the family plot was good too.
The one nitpick I have is that the story has some plotholes and inconsistencies. Like for example - the plan is to take over everyone with STEM wirelessly, but how would their bodies survive? People would die within a week.

I think the story was superb. The running animations didn't bother me and I finished akumu. I can appreciate the fact that Sebastian is a chain smoker and doesn't have the stamina to run like a commando. The only horrible parts are the disarming of traps for parts and the glitches when sometimes your bullets don't connect. It's a 8-10 with flaws but it was going on the right track for people that enjoy challenges... Having bullshit moments only adds to your frustration and wanting to beat it. Tew2 was an abomination

Shadows of the Damned was a Suda/Mikami collab. Mikami's only "bad" game was PN03 (which, I'm one of the few people that actually thinks it's an okay game). I think Mikami has the best good-game-to-bad-game ratio of any developer.

I love how the tried to hype this up as the next major horror experience that everyone will talk about to years to come, yet it was soo uninspired and forgettable little to absolute zero hype in its sequel. This series was dead on arrival, dont get buttblasted at me over that fact.

It is the next best major survival horror game. It does have a lot of flaws but it's fucking great and a fresh air, now everything is a bunch of brain dead vn's and Indie trash (which I bet you fucking love). I also bet you fucking love streamers and parrot their shitty opinions. Second game was fucking trash.
