Game is overall fairly easy and bosses weren't much of a challenge on hard mode. Being surprised by enemies in the field can just outright wipe you on lunatic mode though, running away has a fairly significant chance to fail so even if you live through the first round you might still be fucked. It's like P3/P4 in that you can lose potentially hours of progress in this way. Dungeons/puzzles are baby-tier, but at least more engaging than pre-5 Persona.

There's a chance that the localization changes from the Western Wii U version could've been lazily backported into the Japanese Switch release. Not saying that that's what's definitively happened here, but it's happened before.
