I found the action parts of AC very fun and if the game was more like it I would probably have put it at A but I am really not a fan of the story, characters, investigations, sidequests, pretty much any time it's not being an action game which is a significant chunk of the game that dragged down my overall enjoyment.

Thoughts on Otogi? I have it downloaded but kinda put it aside after watching a random gameplay video of it where it looked really mashy and floaty

I've honestly not played too much of Otogi; some series on there are based on what I know of them but I felt were worth putting on. That said, I do like what it goes for. The floatiness is very intentional as most of the combat is done in the air as you are supposed to send enemies flying by gaining the upper hand and knock them into destructible parts of the environment. Honestly I think Otogi would be a great basis for a single-player DBZ game more than any other gameplay style.

Aces Wild feels a little like a 2D Otogi in how it's intentionally floaty and wants you to spend >80% of combat in midair using homing airdashes and high-momentum attacks, but it also lets you bounce enemies around like Bangai-O.

majora's mask broke away in another way - it told a new story, and it told it to you over the course of three days that you relived again and again, in such a small world, compared to other zelda titles. every ounce of that world is packed full of nuance and novelty. ocarina opened the way to 3d zelda games by proving it could be done - that was the mark it left - but majora's mask didn't even have to be 3d. if it had been a 2d game with the same world and time mechanics, it would still have stood out against the rest. had ocarina been 2d, it would've been just another sequel. it is remembered as one of the greatest games of all time by many. majora's mask is a game rife with s o u l.
