There's a mod that delays the in-game messages and prompts that activate the DLCs so that they only become available to the player once you reach a certain level or certain point in the main quest line.
I'd recommend installing that mod because it makes the gameplay a lot more immersive and more RP friendly.

I dont know many i played for the ending where you become king of new vegas, and assassinated ceasar the first time i got an audience with him.

Yes. Legion run is good shit, probably the most unique.

It's amazing how many people misunderstand the reasons Daniel has for helping the Sorrows and what he is trying to save, not just the Sorrows but what they represent, not only that but that in doing so he is trying to redeem himself.
So if they fight regardless of the manner and outcome, they become tainted, but he is not solely doing it for goodness sake, he is being selfish in trying to repent because ultimately he is trying to save his own soul, which makes him act unilaterally towards the Sorrows and above them, not treating them as brothers as he should.
Not only that but your choices also determine whether Joshua starts reverting to his old self.
At least that's what I got out of it.

Legion playthrough is the most interesting not just from a story standpoint but also from a gameplay standpoint.

NV's world map is very heavily skewed in favor of factions that are opposed to the Legion. If you play as a Legion-friendly courier, it feels like you're fighting an uphill battle against a modernized USA-style republic backed by a highly technocratic, plutocratic city-state populated by gangsters and robots. It's incredibly ironic because the Legion is clearly meant to be the most villainous faction in the game that the other factions have formed an alliance against, and yet they're resorting to methods of warfare that are more in line with the Rebel Alliance from Star Wars or other ragtag freedom fighter groups.

It's literally a one-and-done. The gear is outclassed almost immediately if you do it first, and the gimmick only works the first time. You can only find the radio bombs once before that loses the charm. It's a great single experience, but there's absolutely no reason to do it more than once unless you just really want to for some reason.

Canonically, the only reason the Marked Men are alive is because of the intense radiation within The Divide. The flayed skin would kill them if not for ghoul's natural regenerative abilities when exposed to radiation. The constantly rejuvenating nerves on their muscles causes non-stop agony which causes them to be "edge-boys". You'd probably be pretty mad too if that was your fate.

In New Vegas I feel the need to handicap my character to a certain degree in order to make every build unique and different.

More this than anything. Only carrying a certain amount of ammo, avoiding the best weapons at certain points. Last run I would only use laser weapons in power armor, and power armor was limited to exploring vaults and other irradiated areas.

OWB is the best in terms of new content, but I thought the characters and writing were grating as fuck.
HH and DM had the most intriguing writing and characters, but unfortunately not much in terms of content. I think even those two add-ons put togther, they had less weapons and armor than OWB.
I never finished LR because I thought Ulysses was annoying.

I played on hardcore mode, and I found it to be legitimately challenging when I ran out of ammo and had to resort to melee weapons with my 3 STR character. The level design was pretty trash, but the three companions were all great. Dog/God's final interaction is one of my favorite scene in vidya.

They didn't survive the explosion at the Divide they were NCR and Legion troops having skirmishes, scouting ect that got caught up in the extreme radiation and sandstorms which ghoulified them and skinned them respectively. The radiation of the Divide keeps them alive but in constant pain

Honest Hearts is a great challenge map on higher levels because the White Legs get shit like Anti-mat, Brush Guns and 12.7 SMGs. It's fun to fight guys who hit as hard as you do

Fucking this. I'm pretty cautious when it comes to traps, but having a trap a few feet after another hidden with trash is bullshit. The buzzing collar just forced linear exploration and moving quickly; half the time there wasn't even a radio to shoot or turn off.
I did really enjoy the DLC, but there were just so many flaws that make me not want to play it again.

I don't even play it until I get "Light Step" which makes the DLC a little more tolerable

New Vegas and all of the DLCS are objectively perfect and if you don't like them you have a low attention span or are a retarded American.

Dead Money in hardcore mode is a great survival horror game, a legit survival game, gathering resources and managing is key and the enemies and environment is deadly, your weapons are decent but not overpowered.
It basically needs you to always be alert and aware of your environment because it can kill you at any moment.
I can see why some don't like that but then they are probably just looking for a more casual experience.
