Seeing the colonists treat the Cylons as some spooky creepy threat from within and take them super seriously, then we see from the Cylons that they're just a bunch of overgrown idiotic children and have no idea what they're doing was entertaining. Then the reveal that both sides are being manipulated by an actual spooky higher power and only a few of them ever truly realize that. Like when Kara finds her own corpse on Earth, and the others realize what the hell this means and run the fuck away from her.

Interesting fact about the set of the Pegasus is that it was originally used for a remake of Lost in Space. They shot the pilot but the network cancelled the show, so the BSG production bought the sets and turned it into the Pegasus.

It's the closest thing you can get. The guy who wrote the ost for BSG said he used Homeworld as a major influence and the whole way it was shot is a lot like how the camera works in gameplay. Pirate it first though and see if you like it. Blackbird is based but the shekels ultimately go to Ge*rbox, so make sure it's to your taste. Also be sure to get a version that's either 2.0 or 2.1, they fixed a lot of shit with the game

Well yeah. Boomer's subconscious Cylon nature caused her to shoot Adama, but also try not to kill him as she still saw him as a father figure and liked her place in the fleet. Then as a result of her betrayal everyone despised her forever, and seemingly replaced her with a better version of herself, Athena. Athena has all the trust, support, friendship, and place to belong that Boomer wanted. So of course she'd kidnap Hera and try to pretend to be her mother.
