Animal Crossing

show us the shops already

They already did. Enjoy your menus.

at least show us other shopkeepers then

>No city or shopping district
M-maybe you can build it on your island?

if this is the early game and not the whole game they're not doing themselves any favours by not showing hints of mid or even late game gameplay

Attached: file.png (1024x576, 670K)

M-maybe there's a boat to a small city like CF?
M-maybe it's going to be different cities you can travel too?
M-maybe no?

Enjoy those leaf tickets and crafting, retards. Dead game.

I cannot fucking wait until people realize how incredibly shallow this game is.

It wasn't delayed to add more content; it was delayed because nobody wanted to work on it. you're gonna get the same trash game you've been eating for a decade now. Fuck you.

Even though they explained how you'll attract businesses to the island with various actions then go to Nook to actually bring them on, they refuse to show the process on camera. Maybe it's just not ready yet.

it gonna be shit

don't panic fellow villagers!
we were assured during the treehouse gameplay that the game will eventually look how we're used to animal crossing games being.
It's only the early game that has been radically changed to make room for more player freedom! WE'RE GOING HOME!!!

Attached: 1556997760006.png (530x500, 184K)

I can't believe they're just letting you move entire trees now
I wanted small QoL changes like designating spots for villagers to move in at a later date, not to be able to completely change my layout at a moment's notice
None of the new stuff they've shown feels like Animal Crossing at all

so much lack of soul

a little tree surgery isn't exactly terraforming. If you could redirect rivers then I might be concerned

I sort of agree. Having to plan your tree layout and plant them accordingly was part of the charm. Just being able to move them is silly.

>can just dig up a tree with a shovel
What the HECK

Attached: 2942684.png (1200x1200, 709K)

>you're gonna get the same trash game you've been eating for a decade now
huh? animal crossing was released in 2001
you need to power up with fruit to move trees so its okay imo

Attached: etika.jpg (624x436, 37K)

seems pretty comfy to me

Attached: file.png (1920x1030, 1.4M)

I'm sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of an entire room's worth of furniture rattling around in your back pocket.

You need to eat an apple to do it which is kind of weird but at least eating fruit actually has a purpose now.

need to have a light snack first. Don't want to ruin immersion

too soon to be using etika reaction images man

I was going to make a different post at first and forgot I had an image attached. I miss him t b h

fuck guys i'm conflicted. Ive played all the animal crossings and even pocket camp and i'm 30 almost 31 next month and I want to get this one. Am I too old now to play this shit? It feels like cringe but looks comfy and fun

That's explained by the furniture turning into tanuki leaves (presumably Tom Nook enchanted them as tanuki's have the power to shapeshift)

>it's just a fucking crafting game

Attached: 1548332957575.jpg (437x501, 46K)

The direct got me hyped, I think itll be good. Honestly I dont beed a huge city to feel satisfied, especially now that I can create my own city-like area in my own town to my liking. The original was just as simple, no big city gimmick. You had one store.
What I am actually concerned about that still has yet to be revealed is the max size of the town, and the townsfolk interactions. The lattet seems like itll be less worrisome thoigh because the game seems to force you to team up with your villagers to upgrade the town.
Im glad its not just the original 2.0 or NL 2.0
I think this will be a very comfy version of AC.

The only thing you're too old to be doing is asking underage b&s on 4channel what you should be doing.

Furniture doesn't grow out of your floor over a period of several days

So a talking raccoon turning lawnchairs into leaves (top that Jesus) doesn't break your suspension of disbelief but digging up an entire tree and replanting it with a shovel you made from a branch does?

Just get it. I know what you mean though, as im a 23 male with a professional career and a wife but I grew up with the original and its one of those game series that will be special to me.
Just dont let your coworkers know.

Seriously. Why make trees grow instantly? This kills the soul.

But you're digging up a fully-grown tree, though.

>several days

Thank you for proving my point, in real life it takes months or even years for a tree to grow.

Remove the AA

do what you want to bro, worrying about it being too "cringe" is a sign of small dick energy. just have fun, who cares.

true
>Just dont let your coworkers know.
lol I wont. Funny though, I was playing pocket camp and it was searching my nintendo friends list and showed me two other co-workers that played it before. They were not active but they had installed it at some point.

Im 21 and Im planning on playing animal crossing a lot when Im in my 40s-60s, you can't be too old

There's a happy medium between instant gratification and a waste of time

The only thing you're too old for is caring what people think about your hobbies.

Happy almost birthday, user.

This guy knows. A game like animal crossing loses a lot of appeal if there's no weight behind any of your actions.

i love you guys no homo. I have been off and on in the /acg/ threads for several years now and had some super comfy times playing online and visiting their cities

Point is you shouldn't be surprised that they value convenience over realism. Imagine how long shit like upgrading your house would take if the game was more realistic. And you wouldn't be able to use your house until it's done, and you'd have move all the furniture out first.

First and foremost they should value a rewarding gameplay experience
If you had to cook up a special dish of every fruit type and a mushroom to get the tree-moving buff, I'd think that was a good addition
But the cost of 1 fruit to move a tree that produces 3 fruit a day is completely inconsequential

>if there's no weight behind any of your actions.
looks like there is a stamina system in place so there is some weight to the actions albeit different

Attached: call for help.jpg (1920x1080, 397K)

I'm so glad they actually changed the grass texture from this

It's obvious but I'll say it anyway, the early game of this animal crossing is very different from the others.
I actually prefer the feeling of moving to a quiet coastal town and that feeling of nervousness that comes with not settleing in to an unfamiliar place, as opposed to being dumped on a barren island and handed the daunting task of building everything from scratch.
The obvious advantage is that it allows complete freedom for the town's layout. But it should be kept in mind that too much freedom in a game can kill its charm.
I think it's not just me, but all long time AC fans, are hoping that with enough time put into the game, it will eventually be the typical animal crossing experience that we've longed to feel again, and we can forget the whole "island vacation" theme and just pretend we're in our town

Attached: 1542092199621.jpg (1024x1024, 327K)

Imagine if the endgame of New Horizons is just your average Animal Crossing game.

hopefully crafting doesn't become obsolete in the endgame

They've pretty much confermed that after you get set up it basically just becomes a normal AC outside of the fact that you basically pick only the shops you want to have via Nook, but they refuse to show Mid or Late level towns. My guess is that many of the late game features aren't in a showable state.

You're falling in to black or white fallacy. Animal crossing made its name being somewhere between convenient and realistic. In relation to other video games, it's always been rather inconvenient. That's exactly what makes it comfy.

>they've pretty much confirmed
>they just aren't showing late game stuff because it isn't showable yet
Sounds like a recipe for disappointment my bruv.

a short scene of the player walking down the High Street doesn't require stuff to be in a finished state

I've always wanted to be able to do shit like in your pic. Making more interactive furniture, more interactive villagers, more interactive everything.
If crafting is now a thing, can cooking be next?

is Animal crossing turning into Dragon Quest Builders

How's the MP looking in this? Me and my brothers cannot wait to play this.

>online

>using terms like "cringe"

Attached: anko.jpg (703x720, 81K)

Little bit of daydreaming but I could see the reality of this in the future.
It would be kind of cool if you could utilize the plane to send you off to an existing village that you can find other villagers and whatever else but you also dont have creative rights to that village. You can own a house and furnish it but thats just about it. Would be a cool end-game feature that can be cycled and also give you that original "im not really in control" feel.
Idk, but I have a feeling that the plane may end up as apmost a dlc/add-on hub of some sort. It would make sense with the changing game models and AC is the perfect platform to implement add-ons. Not trying to be a shill since I dont really like the idea of paying more but of it came with reason (10-20 bux for an extended game mode) then I could see the value.
I just hope this game isnt a dissappointment. NL was fun and all but it also felt very shallow despite all the fun new features. So much was lost because the only sense of progression was farming beetles in a 1 acre island so you could blow 5mil bells on whatever.

tbqh i am just waiting for the smf porn

That's how Nintendo has been showing their games lately. Big reveal focusing entirely on the "new" aspect, with more info on later game stuff coming later. People thinking this isn't gonna turn into a typical AC game after you get set up are just trying to create a pointless controversy where there isn't one.

The entire reason they put crafting/crafting materials in the game is to balance out the rewards of all activities, so that there isn't one outstanding thing you must do if you want to earn money (island beetles)

>If crafting is now a thing, can cooking be next?
It's possible
It's even more likely now that it's been shown there's a stamina bar which replenishes when eating food. I think it implies there'll be other things to eat. And if most things can be crafted, cooking is probably just a form of crafting.

It's just like online shopping. No interaction with a living being required! Enjoy!

I missed out on New Leaf so I was hoping this would be a good place to get back into the series since City Folk and now you guys are making me worry.

good to know.

do not woomy worry user

Attached: 1555632653628.jpg (1024x1024, 51K)

Does anyone else think that this looks kind of bad and that the lighting is messed up?

>can't live in the same island as friends online

I knew it wouldn't happen but was hopeful

Potentially interested in this, but...

What will this game offer me over Stardew Valley?

Much, much less. It's Stardew Valley but with furries and far fewer features and no real goal but fetch quests. But it's comfy

It looks a lot better (visually) compared to the E3 footage so I'm sure they'll improve it as time goes on

Are you forming this opinion from the latest direct footage?
I thought the textures were awful and plastic like, but it seems to have been fixed judging by the latest trailer.

Anyone else getting a Switch for this when it comes out?

It's an insult to Animal Crossing to compare it with Stardew Tranny. One is a dating sim crossed with a facebook game, one is a living breathing world of immersion and comfort.

Was the timeskip in Fire Emblem 3H a surprise?

Nah I'm gonna play it on my DS

more like animal crafting

I hope you are right, I hated catching those island beetles all the time.

I didn't follow the marketing in the run-up to the game all that closely, but I feel like I remember at least seeing a shot of timeskip Edelgard in a trailer before the game came out.

>people who are concerned about a game that means a lot to them are just trying to cause controversy
I thought this stupid opinion was stomped out after the first New Horizons reveal. People have a right to be skeptical and share their concerns, stop trying to make people feel bad for not diving straight into the YASSS TAKE MY MONEY phase like you

Anyone else hoped for free camera movements ?
They showed nice scenes like during the direct but you can't do that with the regular camera angle.
Weird for the flagship of comfy game to not be able to watch the sun set for example.

Do you idiots not realize the game comes out late next March? That's 8 months. The game won't event be finished for another 5-6 months.

Yes, I am right. It was something that was talked about in the treehouse gameplay.

Attached: 1484278184709.gif (361x281, 2.1M)

I missed out on splatfests

im hoping it lets you build your own town shit the way you want (wood buidlings, stone buildings, etc.) but how small the islands look im not sure
maybe you get to have entire island chains but i'll have to wait and see how big the game actually is
still looks nice but with how different it is it kind of looks like a spinoff they reworked into a major title
i also hope they're bringing back every villager, even the amiibo ones, the cut content ones and the obscure spinoff ones

Attached: cup.png (712x517, 262K)

The final phase of game development is bug testing and translations/proof-reading.
There will not be any radical changes at this point.

Well you can splat inside me as much as you want

Attached: 1560318744647.jpg (800x900, 93K)

this, the game's mostly done in terms of gamplay/graphics

It's one thing to be rightfully skeptical of a game that seems to be going in a different direction. It's another thing to act like the world is ending and it's confirmed to be shit because they haven't shown the full breadth and scope of a game that isn't out for another 6 months. Nintendo's M.O. is to show off new games in existing franchises by focusing on the new parts, confident that people will be smart enough to understand that the old stuff you liked is still there. Remember that quote from Miyamoto about how they didn't want to just make another F-Zero that was exactly the same as the old games?

Jesus you are a retard. The average game development time is 2 and a half years. You think 1/3 of development time is being spent on bug fixes? Jesus Christ. They can do most of the bug fixing in a day 1 patch which they can work on 2 months before release. There is easily 5 months left of development to go here.

>but you can't do that with the regular camera angle.
You can do that in New Leaf by hitting up on the D pad, dumbass.

People who use buzzwords like soul or charm should be executed. Make an actual argument or don't bother talking.

What you are seeing in that screenshot is the camera panned upward. This is something that Animal Crossing has always had this. It allows you to focus on the sky. I doubt there will be any other camera angles outside. It's a possibility there will be free camera movement indoors though. At least, there's always a lot more camera movement options indoors.

>no bridges

Attached: 1501980920282s.jpg (70x125, 2K)

don't listen to Yea Forums, ever

Imagine that, you don't start with bridges on an abandoned island. Almost like you'll have to build them.

Still can't rotate the camera

Or maybe they just know getting hyped over shit you can't see is 1:1 how NMS happened.

You guys will bitch about anything, jesus
I guess the rehash meme from 1.5 decades ago wasn't even ironic

yikes: the post

>game is about starting out from scratch on an abandoned island and building it up the way you want
>Nintendo shows us footage entirely set at the beginning of the game
>retards here think that means the game won't have all the features that were in the last game

unless you get the vaulting pole within the first three seconds that looks like a massive pain in the ass until you unlock the bridge building
i hope this shit doesn't have level or progresion locked crafting and i can just build everything with a pile of rocks
or, god forbid, every resource has a moblie game-tier cooldown so you can only harvest shit once a day. that would drive me fucking mad

Attached: mayo.gif (360x240, 982K)

who's bitching? we're discussing a game we're looking forward to, silly tranny

Please be a shitpost.

people here do this all the time, acting as if all they show is all there is.

hot
>The average game development time
don't forget, animal crossing is a text heavy game, ACNL had about 4000 pages of text

>person standing behind a curtain
>curtain is pulled up slowly
>feet revealed
some guy: oh hey look, feet!
you: LOL YOU FUCKING MORON YOU ACTUALLY THINK IT'S JUST FEET? IT'S OBVIOUSLY A WHOLE PERSON HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN A PERSON BEFORE? STOP TRYING TO RUIN THE SHOW FOR ME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

pages? that's not a good measure of word amount...

The reason they made it an abandoned island is because animal crossing games are too front loaded. The first day you meet 7 villagers, explore your towns layout, donate all the common fish and bugs and buy tools. Then day 2 you have vastly less to do. The point of this is just to stretch all that stuff out to even it out. These games are designed to be played over a long time with the different seasons, holidays and events and this design just makes the game more fun when you're playing it a month or two in.

more like
>it's just FEET? what the fuck?
>no dude you can see the legs going up there's definitely more than ju-
>NO IT'S JUST FEET, IF THERE WAS MORE THAN FEET WHY DON'T THEY SHOW THE REST ALREADY???

>275 words per page at 12 font

they absolutely are going to have grindy cooldowns on daily limited resources, but don't worry, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO BUY MILES WITH REAL MONEY, JUST WAIT!!

I like how diametrically opposed Yea Forums can be sometimes.

But honestly, Stardew Valley seems to offer more features than the video's for Animal Crossing have shown so far. And some of the animations and features that have been shown in the AC videos look a little jarring somehow. Like the digging out a tree or the placing of furniture. Or when he holds up a tool but it just shows a generic toolbox.

More like
Some guy: feet are cool I wonder what the rest of the body is gonna look like
You: THERE IS NO BODY LOL IF THERE WAS A BODY THEY WOULD HAVE SHOWN IT BY NOW, DEAD GAME NO SOUL

>I am silly

Stardew valley is ugly as fuck. I know you're gonna accuse me of being a graphicsfag but I'm not. I play old games with outdated graphics all the time, stardew valley is just gross looking.

>every resource has a moblie game-tier cooldown so you can only harvest shit once a day
Animal crossing already had this in every game so why wouldn't this one

I mean it saves you the time of cutting the trees, planting new ones and waiting for them to grow

point to ONE post in this thread that is someone assuming what we've seen is all we get

you could build more bridges in New Leaf

God forbid an AC game be slow.

That's a matter of taste, mostly. I mean, I won't argue it looks particularly great or anything, but the graphics never got in the way of my enjoyment of the game. Which is a strange thing to say considering my remarks about some of the animations shown in the AC video. But perhaps those kinds of things stand out more because the rest is more polished, graphically.

That said, I think I paid 20 euros for Stardew Valley and it was made by one dude. It also got free updates. If I'm paying 60 euros (or maybe more for a season pass) for a game that has a big team and a professional corporation behind it, surely I can expect something extra?

This is a niche kind of genre with few titles in the mainsteam and I do see Stardew Valley as the foremost competitor of AC. It's not unreasonable to expect the more expensive game to compare favorably.

animal crossing also never had full-on furniture crafting, you could at least still sell and buy shit to and from the shops
this looks like its going to be really slow early game then ramp way up but everything inbetween looks to be a slog

You are literally waiting for a digital tree to grow, no dude, some changes are for the better

the alpacas had pseudo crafting

>niggers in animal crossing
I thought you guys said japan didn’t have sjws?

The idea was already in New Leaf albeit its was only used to customize furniture.

Also you can still just buy furniture

thank god they improved the grass textures already. i hope they make the patterns more visible still and improve the rest of the textures

That's three days simply to move a tree around

I just wanna say I love you guys... Please come inside my town and lay in a double bed with me

New Leaf also had Brown skin , albeit with being outside and getting tanned

it's a tranny too by the looks of it

>Stamina system
Whose fucking idea was this?
>Want to redesign your town
>have to eat every 5 seconds because every action seems to use stamina
>Run out of stamina
>Run out of food items
>Have to time travel or wait until tomorrow

there is no real reason to play online when the world you are changing basically belongs to one person, it had to be something like minecraft worlds, where you can join independently if the owner is playing or not

what's the rush?

just like in the real word

>tfw no option to have your island only be one season
Would kill for a fall-themed island that never changes.

Attached: fall.png (1274x719, 1.75M)

uh... did you ever play animal crossing? I had lots of Wild World friends and we loved to visit each other's towns. If you really need a "reason" to do it other than fun, there's trading, fruit collecting, seeing a different daily stock at the shop, meeting different villagers, even aquiring different villagers, showing off your town to other people... endless stuff to do together user

it looks like a retarded s2 octoling

Allow me to explain, and to call you out on your exagerations.
The stamina system now means there's a reason for eating to exist
Which in turn means there's a reason for food to exist
Which in turn means there's a reason for cooking to exist
Also, given that moving a tree now takes a second instread of 3 days, even adding the time it takes to eat food that gives you one stamina (a fruit) it's still way quicker

No one talking about that banger of a soundtrack?

Oh yeah that might be what it's meant to be actually. Splatoon and AC share the same dev team. The squid research lab guy can also be seen in the trailer.

Have you played an Animal Crossing game before? Because they're not as similar as you seem to think they are by comparing them like that, besides both being about comfy town life they don't have much in common at all. And there's a lot that can be assumed will be in the new AC game that they haven't shown in trailers yet (but is in the other games).

Animal Crossing is unironically one of the more "it's not cringe to play this as an adult" games.
It's super zen and relaxing. I live in a one bedroom apartment in a college suburb. But Animal Crossing scratches that same itch for getting back to nature and taking it easy that Red Dead 2 does.

I've played AC:NL before. I liked it, but it felt rather limited to me.

Who wants to bet that you still can't choose where villager houses are and they are still going to randomly pop up anywhere and fuck your gardens and paths up?

Animal crossing is just a shitty facebook game anyway

>The stamina system now means there's a reason for eating to exist
Why would you want this in a game that's about taking it at your own pace?
>Which in turn means there's a reason for food to exist
Padding item.
>Which in turn means there's a reason for cooking to exist
Unless some fun cooking minigame that's more than "select these ingredients to make the dish" has been added this is pointless padding.
>Also, given that moving a tree now takes a second instread of 3 days, even adding the time it takes to eat food that gives you one stamina (a fruit) it's still way quicker
Moving trees isn't the only thing that drains stamina

If you didn't like NL than you might just not like AC, although the original emulatable on pretty much any toaster so you could always try that. Or just buy the Switch game when it goes on sale if you're worried about value (AC has done free updates in the past too, no season pass unless you count the ambiibo stuff). I like Stardew, HM/SoS/RF, and AC but AC is definitely the most different of the lifesim games because it's a lifesim first and foremost before being a game. It has a lot to offer but almost all of what it offers is optional or up to the player's personal tastes in what they want to do.

>stamina system
FUCKING DROPPED

because eating/cooking is comfy, cute and fun

If anything AC is more appropriate than other games. If you're not a waster you should have enough else to do with your time the daily limitations are an advantage not a problem.

It's hobby-tier at the level of model trains. Cheaper and less time consuming too.

Japs have a tendency to take 1 step forward and 2 steps back, specially when they make huge changes to games.

>Why would you want this in a game that's about taking it at your own pace?
If you don't eat you'll still be taking things at the pace of the previous games, eating just gives you a faster pace if that's what you prefer.

People complaining about the stamina system: there has to be something to slow down how much you can do at once. In previous games it was the fact that your axe broke, but now you can make infinite axes. It all ties together well, don't you see?

It's obvious that some people prefer satisfaction in the moment than waiting for it
most videogames cater to this kind of person

and the change is already made, either you accept it or dont buy the game ( but be real about, you know you are gonna buy it anyway)

of course I'm gonna buy the game
did you think this was an argument of people who hate the game VS people who love it? Why is Yea Forums so defensive and paranoid

When has animal crossing ever removed an important feature? All they've removed are minor things like balls randomly being in the town, nothing major has ever been removed. These games just take the last game and build on it. All of new leafs shops and buildings will be in 100% but you will have to build them.

Maybe. I guess I'll just see how my mood strikes me when it releases. Maybe I was expecting some huge upgrade from AC:NL in terms of features or something, and I'm not really seeing that right now.

How would you make the perfect animal crossing end game, user? Just collecting bugs and filling out the museum and stuff hasn't been enough for years now.

Never enjoyed AC. Whats the appeal?

Attached: Crab.jpg (1920x1920, 224K)

Give the player the option to make a second town.

>animal crossing releases march 20
>cherry blossom is in early april
YES

just buy a new game bro

user, there's an esports team where the youngest member is 62 and a youtube channel of a grandmother playing skyrim. You're fine.

There are two. Collecting (furniture, clothes, specific villagers, fish, bugs, etc.) And designing (decorating, custom clothes, making paths, etc.)

Its comfy.

straight chillin

Now instead of grinding Bells you grind crafting mats. No real difference.

Virtual dollhouse that rewards daily check-ins.
It's comfy.

Actually you'll be grinding bells AND mats this time. And you're still in debt to a raccoon.

This doesn't kill shit, faggot. If I already have the grown tree and I want to move it to make elaborate gardens easily, why can't I?

It'd be really nice to have furniture actually do stuff. No reason that TVs can't be as functional as music players. That stoves and countertops can't have little cooking minigames. Game consoles could have old ROMs playable. Okay that's a bit far, but still. Fuck the village aspect I want comfy house simulator.

now more than ever it would be easy to link the online retro game service already provided with in-game features

it was done in 2001, it wouldn't be a stretch to ask for it now

>animal crossing should get different biome options and dungeons and dating and vehicles and open world exploration and first person view and daily quests and a city building mechanic and the player should own multiple towns and become king of the world and they should remove the real time thing and make a day last 30 minutes so I don't have to wait to do everything so I can complete the game faster I've never played animal crossing before btw and I'm only gonna play New Horizons for like a month, dumb nostalgiafags stop trying to keep the game the same

My question is will they get rid of Time Travel? Winter is TOP TIER comfy and I love to make the winter days repeat and take pictures and shit.

don't be a dirty cheater user!

Give me villager dating or it's a no buy

Is it really cheating if I want to marvel at the cute Christmas trees a little longer?

c-brains can play another game

cute user
but that's what makes each season special! they come and go!

They sure seem to have removed a lot of the animal part from Animal Crossing. Just call it iPhone Crossing at this point.

Maybe the shops are boats

Like I keep saying, it's only the early game that's changed. You move to the island with 2 other animals. More animals will move in as the game goes on.

>wanting cities
yikes
not comfy at all

Waiting a whole year for best season is frustrating...

god i wish that were me

>not in a showable state
Doesn't it come out in a few months? They've had since 2013 to work on it. And let's be honest, it's fucking Animal Crossing, it doesn't take a lot of effort to make.

this, "game" looks so fucking slow and boring, how can you manchildren play shit like this? Seriously, have sex you pathetic incels.

Sometimes you just want to slow down and take it easy. Animal Crossing fishing has always been relaxing to me.

mah boi, this peace is what all true warriors strive for

Yeah, it doesn't even have any guns or ultimates? Like, so cringe...

Goodnight villager friends

They used most of that time to make Splatoon 1 and 2. This has probably only been in serious production for a year at most.

I wonder if the amiibo villagers will be back, I really liked Wolf Link in my village.

Amiibo support is confermed but they haven't actually said what it will do yet. Still, I see no reason not to do what they did in new leaf since it was popular there.

This, I want to know what Sable, Blathers, etc. are up to

Good, Main Street sucked. I want the stores to be spread throughout town again.

Most of the outside world in AC is fairly grounded in reality, so yes

Fuck yeah now I'm hyped

Nook Miles probably unlock other islands with different shops, fish, bugs, etc.

City Folk actually had something like this, but NL made everyone static again

3DS probably couldn't handle it.

>unless you get the vaulting pole within the first three seconds
It can be literally the second thing you craft.

wonder if it has tiers or is one and done

>jewcoon is actually a shape-shifter
At least the Japanese are going for realism.

This is looking like it might finally be the first Animal Crossing since GCN & Wild World that could keep me pulled in/playing long term. Here's to hoping.

Hey guys I just noticed something huge. The player is wearing a backpack during the star gazing scene. There's also a fishing bag on the player in another scene. Inventory management is going to be really improved this game.

Old people are boss at animal crossing senpai.

Are you going to reset your save until you get Villagers you like, or are you just going to roll with whatever you get? I'm undecided.

Attached: 48722.png (428x497, 151K)

Nobody is making you use your shovel on a tree, stop being normies

never played bfore so I'll take what I'm given. I will definitely choose where everyone moves to though

I always roll with it. Being forced to interact with villagers I might not be keen on or know at all usually results in me ending up liking or at least getting used to them to the point that I don't want them to leave.

Oh look, an imbecile.

I'll reset until I have Roald, since he's the only one I ever care about.

I might reset a few times. I don't have certain villagers I want above all others, but there's a few I don't want.

>Shitting on Animal Crossing.
I remember why I hate this place.

>most of the thread is idiots jumping to conclusions just because they haven't shown off a certain feature
>hurrdurr you're the drone
Fuck off dipshit

I hope the island isn't too small.

Beauty is the antithesis of soul

The amount of people saying 'lol hopefully the postgame isn't just regular animal crossing' is fucking baffling to me. Since its inception the series has worked according to a formula with mild twists added, and no game in its lineup has ever even come close to being considered bad. What's been presented for this new title so far seems like solid foundation, and they still have months to finish fleshing shit out.

Attached: 1561427184362.jpg (475x417, 47K)

I'll probably just go with what I get

Why the fuck would nook allow rival shops on his island

Might reset a few times trying to get Ankha and/or Peewee, but not gonna bother if I fail more than a few

Tom Nook is so jewishly rich that he has no need to indulge in petty business rivalry, he probably owns stock for every shop you're permitted to bring ovel

Why are they buying garbage now?

>moblie game-tier cooldown
That's literally what Animal Crossing has been doing every game. Limiting content and forcing you to play tomorrow and the next day

>Wow all of the things we've seen thus far seem like pointless additions that will just make the game worse
>WHEN HAS AN ANIMAL CROSSING GAME EVER BEEN BAD JUST HAVE FAITH THAT THEY'RE DELIBERATELY SAVING ALL OF THE GOOD CONTENT FOR LATER

This is my biggest worry. Was kinda hoping there'd be more than one island you could mess with, but it's not looking to be the case.

Look at Nook's eyes and you tell me.

It looks sooo small

Did you not watch the direct?

I will reset if I get any gorillas.

i hate them

God, that purple haired girl was so cute. I want to get New Horizons so I can be a cute girl just like her.

Woah. We can finally stack fruit?

Attached: 78369148_XS.jpg (350x235, 12K)

>it was delayed because nobody wanted to work on it
way to put yourself as a fucking retard.

Basically seems the exact opposite of what I was hoping for from Animal Crossing as far as new features, but I'm sure it will still be as relaxing as ever. Not a fan of the white filter that every 1st party Switch game seems to have, but whatever.

yes, i require more lore

Don't worry lad, the fact you're using the word "cringe" means you're still a child at heart!

honestly, im excited
they proved with city folk and new leaf that they cant top acgc no matter how hard they try, so going in a different direction with a somewhat new gameplay style/focus is great for the series
it'll be a great side game to the original
oh, and so far, the music and graphics are fucking brilliant. not that ugly new leaf shit or that soulless city folk shit.

This is what happened to Isabellefags after Bill cucked them.

Attached: BILLED.jpg (1110x664, 76K)

>glad of all the options we're getting
>upset that we're still confined to a goddamn beach setting
Maybe it's because I literally 30 minutes away from one but I'm sick of the beach in Animal Crossing. When are they going to introduce different regions to inhabit with their own exclusive quirks and wildlife.

will pelly get cucked by her sister again?

Based Bill making Isabellefags and secondaries seethe
