Why are people so butthurt about FE being represented?

Cloud, Ryu, and Bayo are the only ones worth noting. They’re great picks, but the additions to Ultimate overall have been more impressive overall. Especially if you count pre-DLC additions

Smash 4 is far, far better.
The only good DLC from Ultimate is Hero.

Finally Ryu and Terry will get to fight again like in the good old snk vs capcom days

there's way more popular series with less representation, every character looks visually similar and most of their movesets are near identical

Bayonetta is honestly a horrible pick, she's not iconic and she's incredibly forced

It wasn’t a blatant lie. They literally said they’d pick a feasible character from the top rankings, and they did. Not who was spot #1.

Terry Bogard is a bit better than Ryu and the Hero is better than the rest combined

Virtually every poll had Bayo much, much lower than everybody who got picked for Ultimate, that there is what confirmed to me they were just advertising their new half-acquisation in 4. Nevermind some titledumpers or whatever claiming her model dates back to before the poll.

Either way though it's all good, Bayo was still a cool pick and we got all the major requests in anyways.

Smash 4's newcomers is just a proto-Fighters Pass.

It's only a truth on an extreme technical sense. The intent and implication was that Bayonetta was one of the most popular picks. They could've picked the literal least picked character and that still technically wouldn't have been a lie.
