Because society is all about competing with others to be on top and because a lot of people are stuck with shitty lives with no way to climb up they go to videogames and act really competitive. See fortnite a game advertised and updated to be wakcy and silly fun but you will get no enjoyment from it if you dont play competitive.

I don't have ADHD so yes, I do enjoy singleplayer games. I feel sorry for ADHD kids who need constant rewards and flashy colorful moments every 5 seconds in order to enjoy games.
That and I just don't like interacting with other people that much. Fuck depending on others for gaming
