Yes, but the only thing that aged significantly well was the combat. Everything else feels like you’re instantly back in 1997, for all the good and bad reasons.

VIII is the better game out of the two, and IX simply destroys every mainline FF entry available on the Playstation.

Tifa looks far better in fanart/cosplay, and that is one of the biggest reasons why.

It's OK, but the gameplay is a distinct step down from VI. Other than cut scenes, the graphics are also mediocre at best. I found it pretty boring and a slog to push through.

It’s still pretty good. Didn’t care for a lot of the mini games though. Most of them felt like tedious padding outside of the bigger ones like the motorcycle or snowboarding.
