Bioshock 1 was the best in the series by far, though. Bioshock 2 and 3 were both just straightforward linear cinematic FPS with mediocre (deliberately 'soft', casual-/console-ized) game mechanics. Neither truly shit, but very easy to skip.

I agree, I like 1 way more for the same reasons, but I just think 2 is objectively more refined. Not like 1 isn't playable today, only major thing is no strafing. But I have to put my feelings aside for this one. I guess you could say 1 is better for having (I think) more worlds and (definitely) more pathways. But its a real close fucking call.

I feel the story for 1 and 2 are similar, at least at the time. Only difference in 2's gameplay are a few QoL updates and an amount of changes that pretty much don't amount to much more than an expansion to 1.

spyro and crash 3 are still great but they tried to add too much stuff (crash motorcycle levels, blimps, those terrible skidoo levels). spyro 3 is way better with that than crash though
