In the game he's literally just picking the swords up and fighting Gilgamesh with them hand to hand, which is a plot point as to why he's able to even fight a Heroic Spirit on equal grounds in the first place; he exploits that Gil is fucking garbage at hand-to-hand combat because he always just shoots swords at people.
