Or perhaps a wraith or tank taking shots. Or maybe a flying vehicle.

I don't want Prime game in this, if you want to make Halo and Metroid work right you either give Samus her 2D gameplay and Master Chief his FPS gameplay or you make the game third person but right. Also, Halo's a better FPS than Prime 3 ever tried to be and I'm saying this as a Metroid fan, I saw noting wrong with the Prime 1 gameplay which was more like Metroid over any other Prime game in the Prime series.
