Japan cares only about the Japanese market, and the pc gaming scene is really small there. As for the netcode, if SoCal and NorCal still have trouble playing with each other, I'm sure JP players deal with that crap too. Albeit not as much since they have arcades.

I poked around Kamone's stream VODs once and he just gets walls of 4 bar connections.
The biggest part is the arcades though. Netplay isn't important for them because they can just go to the arcade if they don't want to put up with it.

I think even though the distance is similar physically the norcal-socal thing is also a routing issue. It might be my net (which is the best option available here) sucks but in both NY and the midwest I was able to get a bunch of 2 frame connections while here in california I get 3-4 frames to people from my locals sometimes and I've had stable connections to florida that were the same delay as stable connections to people at the other end of the state.

Japan's infrastructure is probably far better than ours so distance will hit harder here than there.

Yeah. I think my best option is to dashblock, take the grid and watch for the dash-in 2b. Doesn't seem like assaulting is possible against it and raw jumps feel like free AA.

That was not my proudest game

Remember it costs me health to use 6B, just fight projectile with projectile until I get impatient and try something else.
It really matters if you can stop the first 6B though because once I get a puddle near you, I can stop your retaliation

Even so, you've been winning neutral a lot in our past several games and I don't get where I'm messing up.

I've just adjusted how I approach the match-up. Less fireballs unless you're off the ground, avoiding the spots where you can tag me, less fireballs when you have vorpal, and os baits up close

Throw proper shielding in there too instead of fucked up green shields. Knowing the rhythm of when the slashes come out helps me too
