Which Smash character would be the most tied to nostalgia and emotionally significant for you? Mine is Sora 100%. Kingdom Hearts 1 has such an innocent child-like wonder to it and I still cry at the end. But they have to license Simple and Clean and go through Disney.

It really is and this is coming from a Kingdom Hearts fan (KH3 is a horrid disappointment).

I cannot understand how this series can continue with such abysmal writing. I've seen free fanfiction that has better writing than Nomura's fanfiction that he expects you to buy. Also Sora is honest to god without any sense of irony a very stupid character with no repair. Having a stupid protagonist be the center piece of a franchise of a continuous story while also having this very same character be isolated and NOT involved in the core of the story makes things even worse. So all we have to see is Sora showing off what an idiot he is.

Again this is coming from a KH fan, though I guess thanks to KH3 I'm no longer a fan of Kingdom Hearts and I deeply DEEPLY regret wasting years of my life on this horrible shit series. And I feel this series is a colossal waste of Yoko Shinomura's talents. Put her back in other projects and away from Disney and Nomura.

I have to ask does anyone else feel the same about Sora? Because I seriously doubt that Kingdom Hearts fans play this series for Sora. When I hear people say they play Luigi's Mansion games because they like Luigi's personality I can believe that. When I hear people say they play through Metal Gear because they enjoy Solid Snake's personality I can buy that. When people say they play Devil May Cry because they get a kick out of Dante's personality I can understand. But when people say they play Kingdom Hearts because of Sora I raise and eyebrow and call bullshit. The protagonist of this series is a horrible part of the entire franchise.

Only the gameplay of Kingdom Hearts 2. Everything else is archaic or just not very great. Functional I'd say, but not particularly enjoyable with a good sense of battle flow.

I play it for Sora. The fact that the power of friendship is an actually feasible thing in Kingdom Hearts and how Sora never thinks of himself over his friends makes him feel like a real stand up guy. Like how he commited soduku for Kairi twice, wanted Roxas to be his own person, and so forth

The songs are still fucking great. I love Don’t Think Twice and even the Skrillex song. I was disappointed in the closely gameplay and just story that’s gone too far. KH1 has a simplicity to it.

See that's what annoys me. Sora is inhumane. He behaves in a way that NO sensible character behaves. There's no selfishness to him. I have the same exactly problem with Yuna from Final Fantasy X. I hate Pure Goody Goody type characters because they fucking behave in ways that no one does and it's even more annoying when they're surrounded by more grounded characters.

The only character of this archetype that's been tolerable to me is Zack from FF7 and that's because despite being a Goody Goody he still has some humane traits to him, he loves women and flirts with them like a normal straight dude. That and despite his naive ambition of wanting to be a hero? Other characters shoot him down to bring him to reality like lightly insulting his dreams to get him to concentrate in reality. So yeah Zack is tolerable because of this. Sora? He has no such type of set up. Sora is an idealistic moron who is enabled in all of his immature infantile and stupid personality traits. That's what annoys me about Sora. He's about as terrible as that faggot boy from Steven Universe.
