There was a text leak making the rounds months back that actually sounded great, but otherwise nothing I'm aware of. I'm always willing to give new expansions a shot if the general reception seems good, bought Legion near the end and it was pretty solid for a few months of casual play.

I fucking hate retail. They will never get rid of AP grind or titanforging now. I just want to be able to buy my specific pieces of gear (pve and pvp) like the good old days. Fuck these stupid devs. And unprune my spells

I fucking wish WoW had any of its old progression systems. That alone is the main reason why I'm a FF14 tranny instead of playing WoW, despite caring for the actual world and lore of Warcraft more than FF14.

Have you even played retail? That content is irrelevant for multiple reasons:

- Leveling is no longer designed to be a part of the game anymore, so the entire leveling experience of gameplay is effectively gone
- Leveling is so fucking fast and easy that you don't even get half way through an expansion's leveling content before you move to the next
- Heirlooms have made all crafted gear and all dungeon loot completely irrelevant for everything but transmog
- Pure vertical progression means every expansion's entire raid content is completely irrelevant and has no purpose at all except for transmog

Even current expansion raids below the newest are irrelevant because the game's catchup content gives you free epics that are better than the older current raids.

All that paired with the fact that there's no difficulty in absolutely anything in the game except current tier normal or higher raids and mythic dungeons makes almost the entire game irrelevant.

Vanilla literally has more content than retail does after seven fucking expansions.
