And even then that's straight up inferior to using Retroarch. If it's anything like their NES emulator then it's barebones as fuck and you won't even be able to do things like remap buttons. With retroarch you also get GPU sync and runahead which drastically reduce input lag, and a ton of autistically customizable shaders if you're into that kind of thing

These gamepads are basically the Pro controller but without an analog stick, the SNES one may even work with Steam for this reason, I'd love to test it.

Also emu on a PC will always be better if you are going to play SNES with actual controllers.

Lol "license holdler". More like technology developer. These technologies were developed by non-profit associations that were meant to create a standard so that we didn't have 50 different protocols (essentially what consoles USED to be), and the only way it works is that they own the trademark so if you want to have a bluetooth compatible device, you pay to call it that. Not referring to the protocol by name is essentially skirting the business model while still copying their work. You know what it's a lot like? Emulating. And Nintendo sure hates that when they're on the receiving end.
But all of this is really irrelevant. I don't give a shit. I use it as an example to show how shitty of a company Nintendo really is. This is behavior you'd expect of some no-name Android clone that is trying to make a profit on razor thin margins when every fucking penny counts (a valid business model). And here Nintendo is doing something just as sleazy, yet they get a free pass. Why? 1) No one knows. Well, I can help fix that. 2) Brand loyalists who have been eating shit for 40 years.
And let's be perfectly honest with each other, #2 is the only reason Nintendo is even still in the hardware business, because the approaching-40 demographic who have been conned out of their childhood are still coming back for more.
And when I say "more" I mean the sourced hardware that they don't even make anymore. Nintendo is not a manufacturer, they don't even participate in the design process anymore. The Switch is LITERALLY a rebranded Nvidia Shield Tablet that Nvidia took off the market mere months before its planned release because Nintendo came to them and asking for a handheld, and Nvidia knew the Shield Tablet would sell far more with Nintendo's logo on it. That's the whole reason the thing is so fucking overpriced, Nvidia is getting a huge cut out of this deal

Sadly this will never ever get a re-release on any system due to the name. Nintendo was trying to piggyback on the Tetris name because they couldn't just call it "Panel de Pon" in the 90s... especially with the fairy motif. It's a damn shame though, it was an incredible game.

They do have super puyo tsu in japanese right? maybe they could just put panel de pon as is, I know that the menus are illegible, but I can dream If they just put it on the japanese store I'm fine too. On the other side is not like nintendo is in bad terms with the Tetris company, is not like they have an exclusive tetris in the console or something, in the most fantastical situation maybe they could just hack the game and change the title to Yoshi's puzzle league or something.
Nintendo has been willing to bring out games that were not originally released in the USA. That Puyo Puyo game has a Japanese cover and it's coming to the US SNES collection. They could do something with Tetris Attack to make it able to be included... but that would take work. I dunno. I just don't think it will ever happen. I would be thrilled if it did, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Nothing is missing from the mini SNES, because it's absolutely the easiest thing to mod. You can even run ROM hacks and modified game files. I usually use mine for LttP Rando.
It'll be cool to have them for free* on the Switch though. I can't take my SNES mini anywhere I go.
