All that really matters to be is being able to play as my favorite characters. While additional representation is always nice, it's not needed.

I don't participate in tournaments so this is no great loss for me. I also love my favorite characters and I don't give a shit if a bunch of faceless, smelly nobodies hate me because of it. If anything, it will only make Smash discussion more fun and hopefully I'll get to meet some fellow fans with some interesting personalities as well. Also none of my friends have a Switch so that's no problem either. Unless this particular "shitposting" is something especially vile and sickening as opposed to Steveposting then I may have to reconsider.
Everything else is too much of a big price to pay with little payoff or just plain shitty.
