It's a cult classic.

I can’t speak for it personally because I’ve never played it, but I assume there exists people out there who don’t use Metacritic as the sole indicator quality in their life. I know that this something of a foreign concept here on Yea Forums, but hey it could happen

what else is there to look forward to...

>he never played it

>The game itself is a Sinner's Sandwich
Kino

>trusting critics
lol dumbass

>Metacritic
OP can't be older than 20

Switch has so few games that even bad games are new games.

because once the nintendo bonus gets added, its metascore will be 88.

>metacritic

>Not posting the User Score
Dumb shitposter

You were probably in Kindergarten when this game came out.

It’s mechanically and technically sloppy as fuck and filled with weird and annoying gameplay sections. But it’s a one of a kind, weird as fuck experience. Watching a walkthrough of it on youtube is honestly not a bad way of experiencing the game, it’s arguably better actually. I’d watch a no commentary of it but if you like hearing people talk Jim Sterling did a playthrough of it which is kind of entertaining because it’s his favorite game of all time and it shows (he’s contrarian as fuck not gonna lie)

Because it's a really surreal horror story made by the guy who's good at surreal stories.

On that note, whatever happened to The Good Life? I want my tampon-buying simulator, dammit.

It's a bmovie in game form

starved for actual games

>Trusting game reviewers
The greatest game of all time, Flower, Sun, and Rain has a score of 50 something on Metacritic. Why trust games critics, man?

Based.

Did anyone else end up watching Twin Peaks because of this game?

Yep. I still need to watch past season 1 though

>pokemon explorers of sky
>54
>one of the reviews says you can't use the dpad and it's touch controls only
I don't fucking know how anyone take metacritic seriously

It's literally Twin Peaks: The Game.

It was the opposite for me. I watched Twin Peaks for the first time like five years ago and then heard about Deadly Premonition and bought it on Steam.

fpbp

you either get it or you don't

twin peaks is the prerequisite material and it's not that popular anymore

Ive heard of that name before when I posted about some horror game that requires a flashlight to kill enemies.

Is it a good series or something? Is it horror?

Deadly Premonition > Twin Peaks

alan wake

that's also a really good game too

both are heavily inspired by twin peaks and all 3 have it's following

Return> Deadly Premonition> S1> Alan Wake> S2> FWWM

What's Return?

s3 of twin peaks

Twin Peaks the return.

This a good Halloween game?

Oh shit, I still need to watch.

What is twin peaks? A horror TV show? Or is it something different.

>Is it a good series or something? Is it horror?

Horror murder mystery. It's your stereotypical TV drama but with David Lynch at the helm and Kyle MacLachlan as the leading man, it has all your typical markers of a Lynchian film like surrealism, detachment of the characters, etc.

Deadly Premonition is actually the second iteration of the work, and the first one was almost identical to Twin Peaks and a lot had to be changed due to legal reasons. The game itself still has some obvious ties, like you can find Laura Palmer (a character from Twin Peaks) in a picture in a room that looks exactly like the character's room.

Idk, it's a 5/10 game with a 9/10 atmosphere if you're into that

watch it

No, but I rewatched TP because of it, right after finishing it for the first time. I actually think DP is slighty better overal. I probably shouldn't comapre two different mediums like that though.

>watch it
I just checked not on Netflix man.

It's like an alternative soap opera that gets progressively stranger and more difficult to watch.

it's the same atmosphere
