I'm pretty sure Nintendo meant for Xenoblade Chronicles to be the "major new game announcement"
It was good in the fact that it bolstered up an already packed Q4, but bad in that we're probably not getting another general direct this year, and we currently have only 1 brand new game confirmed for next year.

-"new" kirby is literally just the 3DS f2s one with a few different bosses, it doesn't even seem like they changed the mage to be less broken
-I can't really say I consider yet another rerelease of XBC to be a positive for me, especially since I haven't finished it yet and don't want to restart from the beginning again
