Think they'll be able to dump the .iso just like they did with Trials?

is that plok on there?

well shit, the fan translation was gonna release in early 2020

Wildly depends on if it was remade for the switch or if it's emulated

Attached: Plokbox.jpg (381x262, 26K)

I was looking for a thread about this.
Its probably gonna get drowned in all the Smash, Xenoblade and DP parties the board is having right now.

But its really crazy that this game is coming over after all these years.

How do I get this to run on my PSP? I don't want to play a localization.

If it's just an iso with a PSX emulator then somebody will dump it and you'll be able to do that fine on day 1. If it ends up being a port then you're screwed.

it's the only good announcement to come out of this direct, so of course Yea Forums doesn't care about it.

I think I saw Brigandine is coming to the Switch, so there's that.

So no way to play it on my PSP?

>So no way to play it on my PSP?
We don't know yet.

>I think I saw Brigandine is coming to the Switch, so there's that.
true, but that leaked a few days beforehand, so it wasn't that exciting.

What is an "anti-RPG"

Hey man, as said I was looking for this thread, but
>Xenoblade 1 definite
>fucking DP port + DP2
>DxM demo
>Brigandine
I'm more than happy with this direct. MORE than happy.

I'm unreasonably excited for this. Moon is absolute kino

its subverting your expectations

>onion games

Cool.

>Brigandine
Is this related to the PS1 game?

Honestly the best news from the direct to me. Really excited to see this as a EOP.

That one guy who spent 20 years translating this will be livid.

what's the point of the game?
>hero man bad!

It was what Undertale plagiarized.

Kind of like a life sim but set in a generic jrpg world where you learn about the random npcs in a village and help them with their problems.

so it's shit

>UGH, IT'S NOT SMAAAAAASH SO IT'S SHIT! HE'S IN, SHE'S DECONFIRMED, XFAGS BTFO!

You done?

Played it in Moon already, but I hope more people get to enjoy it finally. The soundtrack is just fantastic.

I would if I could get it to work on PSP. Do you have the ISO?

I've got the JPN PSX one, yeah.

Severe Yume Nikki vibes here.

Would you be willing to share it? All the sites I try to download it from just give me a .cue sheet that I can't do anything with. I tried converting it but that led nowhere too. I just want to play this stupid game.

I've been waiting so long to play this. I'm so happy that it's FINALLY getting an English release.

Attached: 1556065766774.gif (640x360, 1.39M)

>that guy that spent 6+ years of his life doing a fan translation and was going to release it this year

Attached: 1388697692217.jpg (353x401, 16K)

So who is translating it? Like, what is Onion games history? Are we getting a treehouse treatment full of memes, a literal Persona 5 robotic treatment or some other gay ass variation.

So how good is it really?

I dont want to ostspoil meself but my expectations have been set by user

>Like, what is Onion games history?
onion games is literally just people from love-de-lic. chances are, they will handle this game with care.

What the actual fuck? I was super shocked when I heard the news, I mean, this is like a fever dream. Why the hell are they bringing this obscure bizzaro JRPG PLAYSTATION EXCLUSIVE over to the NINTENDO Switch decades later? I'm not complaining, but, this is just so damn weird.
I wonder how the fan translators are taking the news...

>tfw alien camera adventures in English never
Seriously, though, this is the best news I've heard this generation. I've been wanting to play Moon forever.

Attached: dbdtayl-826379da-37a2-48bd-a0fe-0aa8654065ea.png (800x480, 337K)

Onion games? Are they a reputable dev company

see , it's an indie studio founded by the people who used to run love-de-lic.

it's the platinum games to live-de-lic's clover

YOOOOO no way
>switch
well shit, all hype lost

Never heard of it, but I'm looking it up now, it looks like a late SNES/Early PS1 fever dream, like I feel nostalgic and calm just looking at it. I'm all all over this.

Fix the shit ending and replace it with the unused one, and I'll buy it.

Attached: 1555007990044.gif (461x346, 149K)

I actually just checked to make sure, I've got a .cue and archive and .bin. That works well in ePSXe. You should be able to convert it to an .iso with all those. Did you only have the .cue?

It's fresh and different and engaging. I'd say it's pretty good, but it's not perfect.

Have you played their other games like UFO and LOL? I hope this leads to them getting translations too.

>it's the platinum games to live-de-lic's clover
But a lot of people in Clover worked at Love-de-Lic

This is gigantic news. On the same level as an official mother 3 release. About time.

Is this Toby doing too?

well shit, I did not expect the yamada and black bird devs to fucking translate a JRPG for the west

what a time to be alive

lmao what a cuck

>Did you only have the .cue
Yeah, I guess that's the problem, but even if I did have the .bin too, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with those. I only know what an ISO is, and barely at that.

Look up "psp psx eboot"

What's wrong user, I thought switch had "no games"

Attached: 1567634069719.png (398x370, 262K)

I'll start uploading it all, but if you have all three in the same folder, when you open the .cue with something like ePSXe it will play the game.

Attached: thumbz.gif (500x353, 987K)

I don't know anything about this game
someone give me quick rundown

Isn't this game notorious for the music rights being spread out among a shitton of people? How are they handling that?

Fuck, i started learning Japanese to play this shit

Now I'm going to spoon feed aggressively since apparently I'm the only one itt that was self aware when the psp was hot. PSPs can run ps1 games if you convert them to an eboot. You have to use some program to do so but it's retards friendly and there's tons of guides online. Seeing as this game is somewhat popular you can probably just search for "Moon eboot" to find a file that someone's already converted. Then just drag the eboot folder to the Game folder of your psp. You don't even need cfw. If you can find an eboot then, once again, search for "make psx eboot psp", download program, download iso, follow guide. You don't need to make an icon or get a background image or anything like that, it just makes it look nicer

It calls itself an "anti-RPG". What it really is is an adventure game. You travel around the world, cleaning up after your typical RPG hero (who's been slaughtering animals and breaking into people's houses, as an RPG hero does). You gain "love" (XP) by helping towns folk out with their issues, catching animals' souls, and discovering more about the world. All while finding out what the NPCs ACTUALLY think of their "Hero".

And then the Hero catches on to your shit...

If you can't find an eboot*

I'm fucking sold

redpill me on this game

Why did devs stop making unique games like this? When was the last time a modern game had an original ass cool idea like this fuck.

What's the name of that one RPG where you play as a kid who caused the destruction of the world based on a game he was playing and he gets sent in to unfuck up what he destroyed?

They didn't sell. There's a reason the staff keeps moving from studio to studio...

The game is more like Animal Crossing in the sense of you have to run around making friends with everyone instead of doing the traditional RPG fighting/leveling up stuff but the world itself still plays roughly like an RPG.

Think it'll get a physical release?

just play the fan translation then

>Why did devs stop making unique games like this?
the devs are literally still making games like this.

>Releases 10.10
>But you can pre-load the game right now
Why bother waiting? I don't get it.

>cue sheet is invalid!
I hate this. I don't understand. I hate computers. Nothing works. I give up.

jrpgs

>fur elise playing in the trailer
what the fuck

It's an adventure game about JRPGs. That does come with 90s adventure game quirks, but it's got a lot of heart.

Tim Rogers from kotaku is localizing the game

I feel so sorry for the fan translation team, they were almost done with the patch, and then this shit happens.

I've wanted to play Moon and love-de-lic's other games for a long time, but I had no idea the same devs were still making games. I'm definitely going to be buying these.

Their fault for being worse than a single professional translator.

Unless the Switch version is just an iso stuck to a PS1 emulator, their translation will still be useful for other platforms.

are you fucking deaf

Very nice description, makes me want to play this too. It always makes me happy when people don't use comfy or other red flags to talk about obscure games.

I stay far away from Kotaku and I have no idea who Tim Rogers is or what he's worked on, but from watching that video he seems to have his head screwed on right.

nigger what are you even addressing
why is that fucking song in a trailer for a random jap game

again, are you fucking DEAF?

I would extremely appreciate you uploading the ISO somewhere.

STOP SAYING SHIT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU STUPID FAGGOT FUCK

He's the best thing Kotaku has going for them right now. His videos are always amazing.

NOT EVEN THE SAME COMPOSER, YOU DEAF FUCK

Real talk though why aren't they using a track from the game? Moon's OST is like, 200 songs.

njoy
megaDOTnz/fm/KodjSQCI

it's fucking goddamn clair de lune
why is that fucking song there

Am I doing something wrong? This just links me to my own mega dashboard and doesn't start a download.

isn't onion games somehow related to the rule of rose/chu-lip dev

The writer of both those games is a writer/director for Onion games now. So yep.

giantbomb.com/profile/andysoryu/lists/games-with-love-de-lic-members-input-sorted-by-rel/359406/
Yes.

>michigan AND rule of rose
ha

>Kera Ma Go
I fucking love this song. It's the only thing I know about Moon but it makes me want to play it.

>Dandy Dungeon got a Switch port
Huh.

Short documentary following the career of one of the Love-de-Lic guys up through Onion Games here.

youtu.be/vJrTBO0SRXg

Thanks for the preview user, game seems insane. Going to definitely get it day one.

Isnt this the one Undertale stole a lot of shit from?

Toby says he never played it because it's in Japanese but was inspired by what he knew of it. So yes.

No, the game is Japanese only so Toby never could have played it. Moon has always had a interest among the fan translation crowd, it has a interesting and unique premise that is meta but doesn't take itself very serious or try to shove some deep philosophy at you.

nah toby fox pretty much admitted that even though he never played it there were some ideas he took from it

PLOK REAL SHIT MAH NIGG

How do they even take that long? I can understand most of the context with my absolute shit tier moon runes

nah, as long as they finish and release the patch it will be fine.

Usually the translation isn't what takes all that long but developing tools to work the translation into the original game. Sometimes shits fucked. Also people don't do it as a job so work gets done when it gets done

HERO MAN BAD

The release of the patch has been called off for now, but it will likely be finished up and quietly released in a year or so after Onion's sales have died down a bit.

Bit of a shame these sorts of game concepts have been relegated to Phones for the most part.

No hes not. Also Tim is the only person worth a damn at Kotaku.

>And then the Hero catches on to your shit...
Sold me with this line alone

then I hope the devs sell some merch so I can support them because I am not buying a switch just to play a PS1 port

This is a dumb position to take

The closest thing to a new Chulip

Attached: B8Hiwdl.jpg (1024x559, 145K)

They sell merch for their other three games, which are nowhere near as popular as Moon. I wouldn't be surprised if they even reissued the soundtrack.
oniongames.booth.pm/

The fuck is anti-RPG? Did they mean JRPG?

> Wanting a Chulip sequel

I kind of want this, only to figure out what the fuck was up with all the teachers and your dad and whether or not you were somehow just a head with feet somehow and we could resolve all those weird as fuck plot holes and Christ this game was a fucking rabbit hole of unanswered questions...

The joke was already made, please call JRPGs trueRPGs, WRPGs are third person shooters.

Holy shit

Attached: varyingdegrees.png (998x430, 1.03M)

you literally just drag the .cue into mednafen.exe or whatever other emulator you're using, how hard is that?

Damn this is actually cool news

Browsed the jp direct livestream thread on futaba and this along with tms was the most talked about out of the reveals. Had no idea what this was but guess its on the backlog now.

epsxe just stays on a black screen when I try to run it. I'd rather play it on PSP because it can play PS1 games natively.

See
user isn't just shitposting, Toby admitted he copied elements wholesale.

>kera ma go
noice

there is literally nothing wrong with using elements of something you like in your own work

Why the fuck are you using epsxe in 2019? It's the worst emulator around.

If you ever played the game, he copied the concept of what "Levels" are, what gaining love entails, and the premise that the regular laws of an RPG game are sort of messed up.

I hope this game doesn't wind up being undertale 2.0 or something. EOPs really love to go nuts about any translation.

what is undertale

>EOPs
Sorry you learned a dying language for nothing user. Sure all those shitty hentai VNs were worth all that time learning chink.

>And then the Hero catches on to your shit...
I didn't know about that bit!
Fucking sold

*Negates ur 5+ year fan translation patch efforts*
Nothing personnel, translators...

I cannot stress enough that you *need* to buy this the second it goes up. This is one of the great white whales of video game localizations, don't fuck up.

I like that the main fantranslator seems to be taking it in stride on twitter, instead opting to write about all the unused content he found while making it.
Maybe we'll finally get to hear everything about that alternate ending.

It doesn't take that long if you aren't lazy as all fuck, though.

Pretentious
The hero is da bad guy
Da monsters are da good guys
You have to make friends with everyone to get the good ending
The final boss is Skeleton

>deadly prems 2
>not a good announcement
Shit taste, faggot.

Wow da kid who died was actually the dragon and the knight at the same time as trapped in an endless cycle how fucking clever

Onion Games is great. Loved their Switch release of Dandy Dungeon and can't wait to pay for this.

Hope they can do ports of their other prior games, like Chulip.

>I did not expect the yamada and black bird devs to fucking translate a JRPG for the west
They're the original devs of said JRPG.

>moon playable on a modern platform
>moon on Switch
>moon exclusively on Switch
>moon in English

Attached: 1541442468177.jpg (768x1024, 73K)

How did Dandy Dungeon fare on the Switch? I bought it. Did any of you? Never seen a thread on it.

looks fun but I've already bought moon and I don't have the budget for it
ec.nintendo.com/JP/ja/titles/70010000017825

He is a bay area homo who started going on about his changed views on localization so let me be the first to say:
BASED NIPS

It's good! It was 15 bucks on prerelease so I got it for cheap. Performance is a bit spotty if you can believe that, but it's essentialy full of charm. Of course, there are a lot of traces that this was a pay-to-x mobile game, but a lot of those are heavily toned down.

You can also buy it in english.

the SKU I linked has english support
I don't really play jp games in english anyway, unless there's good reason

Good for you man. I've heard the second "season" of the game (unreleased on Switch) relies a lot on regional puns.

shit, it was on sale a couple weeks ago
oniongames.jp/onionstore_event_2019summer/
oh well, there's always next time

That makes it even better.

Attached: sf.gif (370x250, 1.09M)

I really hope Onion Games is successful with this endeavor and port more games like LOL or Chulip. Although it's a bit strange that they're focusing so much on the Switch, can't complain. Hope they release their games on other platforms though.

holy FUCK a physical release of the black bird soundtrack
oniongames.booth.pm/items/1088939

So how good is this game? And it's a switch exclusive?

The fan translation scene is kinda shit.

>guy had dibs to translate a highly sought after game
>for literally 20 years
>one random guy said he wants to translate it
>fan translation community pushed him away and refused to help him
>guy is stuck making his own tools

And same guy that had dibs on that game had dibs on a lot of games. So expect nothing to get translated. The politics is kinda making the whole thing more shit too.

And let's not forget the guy that translated all the dialogues in one game but he is kinda an outsider by the community so no one wants to edit the game even though the small parts of the game has been already translated for at least a decade.

I'm glad film translation only requires user level programs.

It's a game made by little king story creator, it's some weird ass story about a little kids who fall into an RPG and discover the RPG world is not what it seems like the hero is an asshole, I think the closest game released in English to it would be chibi robo or tingle rupee adventure without the bartering

It was released on PSX almost 20 years ago but this will be the first time it gets released in English

i dont think i have ever been this happy about a videogame coming to the west, i have waited so long for this i still cant believe it
hold me bros, im so happy

I'm glad. It's been a pretty good night.

SNES/PS1 era games unironically had soul

it sure was

because you cant sell shit like this for 60 bucks like you could then
youtube.com/watch?v=6832gkaqkpk

I had no idea the Love-de-lic devs have been involved in so many things. All their weird games looked appealing, and here this list is saying my favourite game Little King's Story had their involvement. No wonder I've been interested in all these weird games over the years, the same minds have been behind a lot of neat stuff.

Check indie games.

>Ignorant people will try to claim that Prototype Undertale is an Undertale clone.
Unfortunate, but expected.

Where?

It's not surprising that some of the devs involved in love-de-lic made the Tingle games. My question is how the fuck did they convince Nintendo to do them and why did they stop.

Fuck Gideon.

Nintendo's done weird stuff over the years. Not strange they'd make those Tingle games, but sadly the NA audience is seen as not caring for them or too niche to merit release so they seemed to move on from them. I blame the Wii profits blinding them to niche markets and effort in NA because JP/EU had no problems with niche games and Club Nintendo stuff was a perfect delivery for the games.

Maybe it's for the best in some cases a series ends though. Chibirobo didn't deserve what they did to it.

I know, but even then, Tingle was WAY more risky than other weird stuff they had done in the past.

stop it

can somebody link his Twitter? I'm interested in what progress they made

It's just about a man who thinks he's a fairy looking for happiness. How risky can that be?

>onion games

Attached: soi.jpg (490x488, 29K)

user didn't ask you what Undertale is.

I feel like in a bygone age I'd be excited for this but I'm not. Not even depressed I just can;t think of a reason to give a fuck anymore.

why?

You wait so long for a translation that it becomes almost meaningless. Then a official one gets announced anyway long after you stopped caring.

>mfw the wait is over

youtube.com/watch?v=Jz2sxbuN3gM

Just came here to say I love of all you and hope you have a wonderful day.

Attached: born.jpg (640x480, 23K)

Literally who?
>inb4 xdd dont you know MOON?
Stop trying to fit in, you dont know it either. You only give a shit to fit in as their games look like generic JRPG garbo

t lurked for 9 years.

If any of you fuckers is interested in this but hasn't played Chulip, Chibi-Robo 1, Little King Story or any of the Tingle games, do yourself a favor and give those a chance before.

They are not perfect games by any means but they will scartch the same itches this will. LKS and Tingle 1 have fairly strong gameplay systems too.

No shit buddy, if you're an EOP and you've never even looked at a translation begging thread, obviously you're not going to know about games like Machi, Germs, Mizzurna Falls, or Moon.

Now go back to posting about how Steve is in Smash or whatever the fuck it is zoomers do here.

Just looked it up, apparently yes. There's a lot of things I never expected to get sequels getting sequels.

Attached: Brigadine.jpg (600x586, 121K)

>You only give a shit to fit in as their games look like generic JRPG garbo
Played Chulip, Dandy Dungeon and the Tingle games. All are good. Made by parts of the same team? Untranslated before? Good and good. No need to be a bitch, buddy.

The new game looks good as fuck, too. Models are great, art is great...

you sound dead inside

I've been playing Love-de-Lic/Skip/Vanpool games since 2007 and I've been here since 2005.
Get out.

Attached: GiFTPiAorder.png (868x374, 12K)

I was ready to be disappointed at the lack of a thread of this in Yea Forums, but much like whenever a Wario or Megaman thread pop up, today I was reminded some people in Yea Forums actually like and play videogames.

Attached: 1559695475415.png (300x370, 138K)

>playing these games
but why?

BOOM BOOM BOOM

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 46K)

Because they are Good.

Tim Rogers is translating.

Tim also translated Dandy Dungeon

Maybe people will stop sleeping on Onion Games and buy Black Bird.

Of fucking course he is.
I wouldn't be surprised if he singlehandedly funded the company.

I wanted to buy that but it's a bit expensive right now. Whenever a discount drops I'll latch on to it. I really liked the port of Dandy Dungeon.

>Machi
It's dead forever now that 428 flopped.
What a great VN, though...

did they even market 428
it feels like they tried to sell it to the braindead dgrp audience, no wonder shit flopped

As much as Chunsoft can when they're releasing alongside Dragon Quest and sandwiched between Spider-Man and Red Dead 2. It was a tragedy.

Aeon Genesis proudly presents, two weeks before another schmuck releases their take because this is MY project, MIIIIINE: a mediocre fan translation*
*Translated by some other fuck.

Holding this game hostage for five fucking years, god damn it.

Why would they release it at that time?

they also decided to blocck non-jp accounts from playing in japanese on steam, I know at least 4 people (me included) that didn't buy the game because FUCK forced english in 2018/2019

Japan's undertale

Wait did I miss something? I don't remember this being mentioned in the direct.

tim rodgers is pretty based, i loved his massive dq11 video
hope he does it again for the switch release

it was in the japanese direct. the localization announcement came after.

they didn't put it in the NoE/NoA directs because they're fucking retarded
also maybe because the jp version is coming out in 5 weeks but the localization isn't done

Sold.

But MOON came out in 1997...

are all of you fucking retarded?
its a satire of conventional rpgs, it basically takes elements of rpgs and their storys and turns it on its head

The American/European Directs often pad out where weird Japanese shit goes with shit ports, because normies like those

You also didn't get to hear about the Tantei Club remakes.
Fuck NoA.

The Tantei Club remakes are not going to be translated. Not in a million years.

Those are japan-only though.

Aren't the snes remakes translated already?

>Pretty much zero dev cost.
>Actually have a chance to localize them while they're current for once.
>Can market them as lost Nintendo history.
>"lolnah"
Why

Rise of the sheild hero is pretty much this as well. Some guy gets pulled into an mmorpg world with 3 other dudes but mostly goes around fixing the other hero's mistakes because they're treating the world like a video game and grinding in an efficient and maticulous manner while ignoring the concequences of their actions.

Just being realistic senpai. I really want to check out the new Momotaro Dentetsu but that's not gonna make it translated.

>>Pretty much zero dev cost.
if only that were true, we'd have hundreds more games localized.

Whoa, neat. Why not throw in the Satellaview one too while they're at it though?

>Game I've been waiting for 6 years to get translated's releasing on my birthday

Attached: 1557216066584.png (196x197, 34K)

In most cases you're right.
Thing is, these are old ass VNs, which are cheap as fuck to localize since it's almost all translation and very little programming instead of the other way around, and it's not a text monster like Chun's Sound Novels.

I'm happy for you, that must feel nice. I didn't know about the game until recently.

VNs are text games, meaning they're less marketable in the west than say, a jrpg. Meanwhile japan pumps em out every day because the market there is massive and has been for decades.

Hell even text-heavy series with an established fanbase in the west aren't guaranteed to get new entries localized, see: Ace Attorney Investigations 2, Great Ace Attorney 1 and 2.

my first thought was games like oblivion where you level backwards and the skills you specialize in are the ones you should use the least

I've been waiting for 15 years.
It feels like yesterday.
Momo Dentetsu is a different beast entirely.
It's meant to capitalize on nostalgia. Very few people played BS Tantei.

the localized version doesn't have a release date

I'm aware, I'm just saying this particular release would be low risk mid yield for Nintendo. It's a very safe thing to put out for a change. That's just not good enough for them, though.

oblivion's level up system is abysmal. that experience mod from the nexus is a blessing.

>It's meant to capitalize on nostalgia. Very few people played BS Tantei.
I think that in itself would be a good selling point but fair enough.

if they don't remake satellaview tantei club I'm gonna explode

It's not even good, the only reason people are obsessed with it is because it's not translated. We all know Japs have shit taste and that's why they enjoy Undertale so much. You guys really want to play a game like it? Wtf happened to Yea Forums

>Great Ace Attorney 1
Did this get fantranslated yet?

Is that fucking PLOK?!?

I agree, but Nintendo's fucking stupid.
It would be smart to push this and Shin Onigashima as forgotten pieces of Nintendo history abroad and cute little nostalgia titles at home, but they don't think like that.

>that experience mod from the nexus is a blessing.
Bonus for also giving you an actual reason to read books and pamphlets other than sheer lore interest.

>It's not even good
I bet you hated Chibi Robo, you cunt.

Looks like what inspired petscoop

I wouldn't call any vn low risk let alone Nintendo's. This is the same company whose rhythm games meant for mainstream audiences can flop despite lots of advertisement. As cheaper as a vn would be, it still costs money to do, advertise and publish.

They may be translated later down the line though, most niche japanese games don't have a worldwide release announcement after all. Culdcept took years to release in the west for example.

>user isn't just shitposting, Toby admitted he copied elements wholesale.
Source?

It's about context. EBA only failed because they made a total conversion instead of simply localizing Ouendan. It's not that VNs are low risk, but that these specific VNs at this specific time in this specific form are low risk.

the tantei club games are pretty trash desu
the writing is dated AS FUCK, and the twists are ridiculous
I mean the bad kind of ridiculous that makes you want to stop playing and do literally anything else with your life
you really do not need them localized

I already played and enjoyed 2, but I wouldn't even doubt that 1 is shit.

>EBA only failed because they made a total conversion instead of simply localizing Ouendan
You really think the most expensive part was getting new art and not licensing all those songs? Don't tell me you think localizing meant keeping the same songs, which are even less marketable than the EBA ones.

Not to mention, keeping the same songs also means licensing them for the west. Japanese people are notoriously adamant about this, hell that's the whole reason we had the 4kids version of yugioh streamed 2 years ago instead of the original uncensored one: yugi's VA's rights was too expensive and he also hates filthy gaijins apparently.

>EBA only failed because they made a total conversion instead of simply localizing Ouendan.
That would've made it tank even harder.

Eh, they're nothing special but I liked them well enough for what they were. The music was really good though.

>Thing is, these are old ass VNs, which are cheap as fuck to localize since it's almost all translation and very little programming instead of the other way around
Yeah but there IS still translation you need to do. Then you usually have to have that translation properly reviewed and approved by both the company and by the various ratings boards. All this for a game that isn't even guaranteed to sell well

Also the advertising and publishing which is insanely expensive.

maybe if moon sells good we can get another game of GiFTPiA or Captain Rainbow scale...

shouldn't this be on the Vita all things considered? Would sell better too

I still can't believe it brahs

on the what?

It would be a bit better if you made an excel with exactly who was working on what, user.

Fucking LOL

Good point, I'll get on that. Not mentioned there but many of the Mario rpg's have their members too.

Holy fucking based user. love-de-lic are allergic to bad games, everything they touch is at worst good

It already is?

it was supposed to come out on psn (and by extension, vita) like a decade ago but it never happened

Yeah, I've heard a lot of the staff there are part of a Squaresoft leak. Remember to use colouring and be tidy. Can't help now, sadly. Thanks for the work.

That's going a bit too far, Kimura himself also worked on SaGa games and was a former team member but saying that something like Romancing SaGa 2 is a love-de-lic game because of that is pushing it.

Yeah, it's a bit important to contextualize cronology and studio that did it.

Black Bird is $20, is that game any good?

wait for the usual 50% sale

EOPs probably spend more time begging for translations than what the ascended did learning the language. And once you get what you want the experience is inferior too.

Mentally speaking, EOP begging is literally just 5 minutes every few months when they remember a game exists. But that's just the state of their conviction in a nutshell, why would they "waste years" to learn a language when they can just whine about it every so often and maybe eventually in 20 years they'll be able to play it with no effort on their part?

It's why they're so hard to take seriously, because anyone who actually gave even the slightest fuck about games like Moon would know Japanese already.

Thank you for this list
