it's not really anything like Persona, you don't go to school and you don't have relationship meters or anything like that, there's no calendar, etc. It's just a regular JRPG.

Pretty sure Fates is some sort of weird sequel or something because of Severa, Owain, and Inigo. But FE has some multiverse thing anyway so that's not really a restriction.
