Did you like it?
Did you like it?
Yes.
it's my favorite platinum game
combat gets amazing once you have all your tools
Does it really?
I have played both Bayonetta games and MGR and honestly wasn't all that impressed
Does this game have better combat than those?
Yes
It's different. I personally don't think it's better than those, but I really liked both of them so it's probably a matter of taste.
PUT NINTENDO ON ITS OWN BOARD AWAY FROM EVERYONE ELSE WHO USES THIS SITE LIKE A RATIONAL ADULT.
i don't know yet
sometimes the combat is really fun and other times its really annoying
Yeah, love it. Replaying it on Pt Ultimate now. There's a lot of secrets and stuff I missed.
not him but it has different combat than those, you only have one button for your attacks so most of the complexity comes from positioning your legion and giving it commands and shit.
Ok, then what about the boss fights, are they better than Bayonetta's shitty bosses?
I'm only a little over half way through the game thus far, but I'd say yes from what I've seen.
Not him, but I'd say it's at least equivalent to MGR, which honestly wasn't all that deep imo (I didn't play the same DLC). The game nerfs your character big time at the beginning but it starts feeling pretty good once you've unlocked your stands and all their abilities. Certain skills also add some must haves for the genre, like parrying for example.
It feels like another derivative of the Bayo formula for sure, like Transformers devastation. I'd say it's definitely worth trying if you have even a slight interest in platinum games.
That said, I am searching this game's "jump cancel" so to speak; or the mechanic that deepens the gameplay to the next level. I'm hoping it exists, but if not, I'm still satisfied with tools the game gives you early on.
Yeah I'd say so. There's a couple that get very awkward, but it does giant bosses a lot better than Bayonetta 1 did.
Totally forgot this came out
Go pick it up.
It's $90 over here, fuck that
if they added some unlockable legions for beating it on ultimate it would be a lot better
someone tell me how to get good at this game
Ranking wise or actually good?
avoiding enemy attacks mostly.
Well, just keep in mind that dodging is situational and you actually need to dodge away from attacks. Perfect call and parry are more generally useful especially against long AoE attacks. Slashing with sword legion is also surprisingly reliable.
how do i perfect call and parry?
It's a fine action game. Their B Team finally made a decent title for once.
Perfect call is an early unlock in the skill tree for each Legion. With the Legion put away, you summon the Legion right before you're about to get hit. It'll do an attack with green trails and later on it'll give you a sync attack. You have quite a bit of invincibility with perfect call.
Parry is a common ability code. I think you can get a guaranteed one from the toilet fairy. You equip it to a Legion and with that Legion out, tap in the direction of an oncoming attack. It works exactly like the Moon of Maha-Kahlaa/Link outfit in Bayo.
ok thank i'll look into these things, hopefully it can help me play the rest of the game without getting my shit smacked around too much.
It really is the most surprising thing. Wasn't sure Taura had it in him.
now this is shit taste
Yep, bosses are hype
