The appeal of DQ in Japan is that it's a comfy baby game you can play during the 30 minutes of free time you have each day after getting home from your soul crushing salaryman job. It solves an issue the west doesn't have.

But yeah I'd still want either these or the NES originals to come to Switch. I'd say the SNES version, but I doubt that they would translate it.
I feel that it clashes with everything else a bit. I'd want a port of the phone version with the sprites form there.
