If you're done shitposting, I'd like to interject and say there are no games on Vita.
This post is made by HENkaku Gang
>all this literal who weebshit
No wonder the vita flopped
nah but it's got some pretty decent ports that look nice on the OLED screen
worth a pirate for sure
it's got indies and emulators, which is good enough for me
though i still also use my psp for n64 emu
do i see motherfucking puyo tetris
>borderlands 2
did people really bought that shit for the vita? its the worse way possible to play it, even a ancient pc can could bl2 fine on low
Doom on switch?
>all these games and no gameplay
fedora handheld.
>buy a cheap Vita because Yea Forums hailed it as the ultimate hacking machine
>end up playing far more PSP games than Vita exclusives
I think the only Vita games I finished were P4G, Gravity Rush, and the Vanillaware collection
doesn't doom run like at 20-15fps on the switch? borderlands ran like at 10 frames all the time and below
Vita's problem has always been that just about anything it has is available as a better version elsewhere so there's no reason to ever buy one because it'd be redundant.
From what I've heard no even an overclock can save it
What they mean is that the Vita has NO GOOD games.
I really wish the Xcom port was so completely shit
I wish people understood this about Switch.
its 30 fps on switch
Borderlands on vita is unbearably bad tho, even overclocked
neither does any system this gen
WRONG
i thought they just meant no exclusives
>nothing but weeb shit
But you get dual anolog.
Before the Switch is was the comfiest way to play Indies
True, they could rip away all actual Vita functionality and just give me a dual analog PSP and I would be content, if only for MH.
>IA/VT Colorful is a rhythm game based on Vocaloid's
most of that shit is worth playing though, and even then 99% of those games exist on the switch
>Initial D Street Stage
absolutely based taste
can i just buy one and hack it
there's tons of kusoge i wouldn't mind playing for free
>Mostly full songs
>Get annoyed around the 3-4 minute mark
You just can't win, damn'd if you do, damn'd if you don't.
>slim vita
Cosmic Star Heroine had a physical release?
? Slim vita is best vita.
It's the best handheld worth hacking until the Switch
Not worth the artifacts on the OLED plus the slim is just slick imo
BL2 came with my cousin's Vita. I only played the first mission until I gave up. It's literally the worst way to play it.
>muh blacks
Meanwhile us batterychads and microUSBchads are laughing at your burn in
yeah the vita is pretty good once hacked
wouldn't get one without hacking it though
I love my vita!
How is the homebrew scene on Vita? Is it good enough to get one, or should I just get an old model Switch to hack?
I mostly just want to use emulators and play with programming for something.
Vita is a great little console for emulating games. I don't know how easy it is to program on though.
Is the Vita hacked up to the latest update or do I gotta cross my fingers and fucking hope I get one that isn't on the latest?
Please respond.
I'm less concerned with ease of programming (though Switch will probably be a bit easier, because its graphics drivers support Vulkan, and I'm already familiar with Vulkan), and more with battery life, ease of hacking (for instance, homebrew on the Wii U still needs the user to launch the browser and navigate to a payload site every single time), and livelyhood of the homebrew scene.
What's the lewdest official Vocaloid merchandise has gotten?
>I mostly just want to use emulators and play with programming for something.
From doing the hacking process, from what I can tell, henkaku + vita shell pretty much gives full access to the Linux kernal.
I downgraded from 3.7 using Trinity exploit. I finished the exploit in 20-30 minutes I think. Just follow the GitHub page.
Though 3.71 and 3.72 are out in the last month, the Reddit is suggestion ts been exploited as Vita Shell 2.0 is compatible with 3.72 the latest version. There are motherboards that can't downgrade past 3.61
I got a 32gb vita card
I thought that would be enough, turns out I could only fit half of the games I wanted.
Hacking it isn't difficult, updating it so you can play newer games is a little tricky though. Battery life has been fine for me on the fat vita.
Who PSTV here?
You don't need to update past 3.6 anymore
reF00D plugin patches games to run on lower firmware.
What's the primo hacking firmware number, by the way?
Also:
>Sony updating their financial flop JUST to dissuade hackers
The Vita is alive purely through spite at this point.
I donno how good the switch homebrew scene is but vita has some pretty cool homebrew apps.
>stream to pc
>stream from pc
>emulators
>overclock
>change screen output settings
>unofficial ports
Since the vita has been around longer and sony doesnt care about people hacking into their vita, there is a bigger homebrew community and its not as risky.
>because of this I CAN NOT justify getting a Vita capture card
I'm on the other end, I ended up running out of ideas on what games I wanted a permanent spot in my memory. Also consider yourself lucky, apparently the 64+ cards are very shoddily made and prone to failure.
Isn't it buggy though?
>hack vita
>still buy games
I think I might have a problem.
>2019
>spending $90+ on 64 gb of storage
And it's funny that switch is trying surviving hard with the who weebshit from Vita.
>not getting an sd2vita card
>When you stop producing the memory cards for your console before the actual console is out of production
Who the fuck planned out this entire fucking thing?
DOA5 looks so good on the damn thing and it's free on the Vita with the f2p version that has online multiplayer and the arcade mode unlocked.
I haven't bought anything from S*ny since the original Vita.
I hope the success of the switch haunts sony executives and push them to make a better handheld.
this thing is the perfect emulation box.
Good on you. Sony is a fucking embarrassment. Selling their souls to the Californian jew. Can't even code a fucking STORE without it constantly crashing.
Haven't had an issue yet *shrugs*
I'd buy a vita but all its good games are on PS4.
Hmm how is remote play on the ps4? How is the ps4 homebrew scene?
The whole thing was a mess. Big one to me was the way they stopped making first party titles. It was bizarre when they announced the PS TV at E3, I don't remember that they had any new games to announce along side its release. It was the weirdest thing, they know you need to give people a reason to buy the hardware but they did so little.
I went from 3.7 to 3.6 and haven't felt a need to upgrade. Id vote 3.6 or 3.5 (if your motherboard is incompatible with 3.6)
