It is a sequel though. It's less different to GW2 than GW2 was to the first game.

All of the characters and modes from the previous two games are still here.

Chomper has a ranged attack, which is cool I guess. Most of the stock abilities from the second games are there, with some changes, like how Peashooter can now hover with hyper.
