I also got that recommendation on /fgg/ and I do have an obsidian but I really don't know where to begin with the parts I need to buy since I heard you have to meet certain criteria to not be banned.

if you are getting a hitbox I’m gonna suggest like the other user, obsidian hitbox from arcadeshock (unless you can build your own or change the faceplate but it’ll be like $100+ after shipping)

I have a hitbox arcade hitbox and it’s alright and art looks amazing on it but, the wiring on it feels cheap and it feels sort of awkward when playing for long hours.

If you want to stick with a stick go for qanba obsidian or dragon if you want sanwa

all hitboxes sold by well known companies have SOCD cleaners, or the game literally has SOCD cleaning as default on the engine level. There is literally no hitbox that is illegal unless you go out of your way to mod it to be illegal by removing SOCD cleaning, or making the hitbox favor last input.

My stick fell into disrepair, and I left it at a buddies house, but it was a SFxTK-branded PS3 Madcatz TE. I started playing fighting games on pad after learning on stick just because I only play at a super-casual level these days, so having a stick isn't worth it for me.
