When they were developing Color Splash someone asked Miyamoto if they should make some new NPCs. He said "NO! PUT TEN BIRRION TOAD IN INSTEAD!" So they put ten billion Toads in. Because nobody says no to Miyamoto. If you do, he'll lock you in the basement where they keep the interns and make you design levels for the next New Super Mario Bros game.

Yeah, Sticker Star was originally meant to be good but then Miyamoto saw the game and sad "What the fuck is this? It's basically a port of TTYD. Nobody likes that game." And the devs were forced to change everything.
