DOES THIS UNIT HAVE A SOUL?

Wouldn't it be 10,000 souls since there would be 10,000 geth that make up Legion?

yeah sure
>blows you up with the reapers
nothin personnel

idk nerd I'm not the writer

Why did the geth need fuckhuge deep space data centers if Ten Thousand (10,000) gethminds can be contained in One (1) gethbot?

Because 10'000 ain't a lot and because if a bot dies it can go back to the main server

It's not ten thousands.
The hubs can host millions if not billions while the platforms (the units) can host a few hundred, Legion is a special case that can host over a thousand geth programs.

>My 3 favorite characters have heroic deaths in 3
RIP Mordin, Thane, and Legion

creepy as fuck

>A crippled fucking frog beats an assasin that tries to act like Coldsteel
I don't get how people can be mad about that. I treated him as a joke after Thane whooped him.

You let mordin cure the genophage? Yikes my dude!

>thinking Wrex will let the Krogans repeat what happened before
I trust my bro

What happens after Wrex dies? What happens when there are billions of Krogans born every year? Can Wrex contain them all?

imagine being this weetarded

Wrex will raise his children with the same values he has.

SHUT IT DOWN

>Wrex will father them all
I stand by my choice.

>another ME thread turned into genophage discourse
You fucks really love doing this huh

>Wanting thousands upon thousands of Wrexes running around
The big nibba is my pal too but that's a horrible choice.

What else is there to do? Another waifu dump? I'd take genophage discussion over waifufags any day of the year. It's not like there's much else to discuss.

can we talk about the geth quarian debate? That's actually interesting and has two sides to talk about

Discuss good non-waifu characters, parts of the story you liked, good builds for each game, favorite missions, etc

why does it have a humanoid form

Why don't you start?

Okay
The Quarians were always in the wrong. The Geth never even displayed hostility at their first sign of sentience, and the Quarians knee-jerk subjugated them all with force. They were rightfully btfo, and in the process ended up forever ruining any other race's relations with the Geth. Tali guilt tripping you in 3 with MUH PEOPLE holds no water since her people were the assholes in the first place

Adding on, if the Quarians wanted a mindless work force, why the fuck did they give the Geth AIs? Gaining sentience was an inevitability

they were built as slave labor for a humanoid species
also it says that the geth were created in the image of the quarians

dude, the Geth genocided over 99 PERCENT of the quarian population. There had to have been a point in the war where the Quarians couldn't fight back and the Geth must have KEPT going, presumably on defenceless innocents like women and children. Think, Geth shooting up schools for funsies.

The geth programs only become something more when interacting with others.
It's like how human intelligence is made up of several neurons, but on their own they aren't much and dont even have any "self".

Because the AI part was an accident. AND they ignored all the other shutdown commands. And keeping them around would cause major sanctions from the council.

Machines evolved well beyond what they're supposed to. What do you do?

That isn't what happened and you know it

If the Quarians hadn't immediately resorted to hostility, I imagine things would have turned out much differently. The moment they did, the Quarians posed a threat to the Geth's entire existence. I'm sure even towards the end when their numbers were decimated, the Quarians were being stubborn and continuing the fight, in which case the Geth are within rights to fight back.

Exactly. If your toaster started talking shit about having a soul, wouldn't you shut that prick down?

it's literally what happened, how do you think the Quarians were reduced from BILLIONS to a poultry 17 million? At some point it stopped being warfare and turned into systematic, ruthless genocide

The Geth are built laborers, so let them build their own ship, and fuck off to god knows where. Then the Quarians create a new workforce and don't make the same mistakes they made with the Geth

read

What's the point in letting the last bastions of Quarians live? So that they can regroup, repopulate, and come back to fuck your shit up in the future? The Geth are highly logical, they had to have seen that outcome, hence why they deemed systematic annihilation preferable to their own demise sometime down the line.

Destroy all the physical robots and just let the geth live inside a simulation that you lock away in room somewhere.
Or just put it in a crate and blast it off into space.
Problem solved.

so because the Geth thought it ok to genocide their creators, that makes it ok?

not to mention that if you pick saving the Geth, Tali admits they were wrong

Doesn't Legion explain how Geth work?

Like that one Geth AI is basically like one function of an organ in a human so the more AI in a unit the more intelligent it becomes?

The Geth deemed it necessary for their survival, and I can see how that makes sense. Letting the Quarians live literally did almost come back to bite the Geth in ME3. They were almost exterminated by the remaining Quarians, so I think they were justified in pushing for extermination back then

To be honest Thane was Good. You opened this message. This isn't actually asari military command. They're busy tending to what's left of their planet. So you survived our fight on Thessia. You're not as weak as I thought. But never forget that your best wasn't good enough to stop me. Now an entire planet is dying because you lacked the strength to win. The legend of Shepard needs to be re-written. I hope I'm there for the last chapter. It ends with your death. -KL

More organs doesn't equal more intelligent, moron

so if your microwave gains sentience and starts asking whether it has a soul, and you try to shut it down, is the microwave justified in killing not just you, but your friends and family too?

Yes

No

Just like Wrex's father tried to raise him with his ideals?
>He was an old krogan with old ideas
This kind of shit is inevitable. War and battle is literally their nature of being.

very good

bump

The issue is they didnt work and Wrex saw the consequences of their war and contextualized it with their impending genocide. The grunts of Wrex will be growing up in an age where they're not dying and despised and Wrexs guidancewont lead them to obvious ruin.

Reptoid pride, bitch!

you realise that if every female on Tuchunka gave birth to the max amount of babies they could in a year, within a year there would be over one TRILLION krogan?

you're assuming every one of said children would survive the absolute hellscape that is Tuchanka, the reason the krogan population exploded prior to the rebellions was when they got colony worlds off planet without tuchankas predators and started just going apeshit with breeding.

I'll repeat what I said in a thread a while back that the krogan could adopt rules like the salarians to manage their population levels at a noninsane level, which is probably what will happen under wrex/eve

it at least equals more human
