Fuck I miss rts, bros. Nowadays everything is either city building or just battling.
Tilbúinn
>it never happened
dont forget that theres still an alive scene of the game both in voobly and steam bros
heh nothing personal
prostagma
bulome
III was already worse gameplaywise than II, so maybe it's for the best that IV never happened. And as far as V is concerned, there are so many other RTS in a sci-fi setting to choose from.
skipan?
this game had so much soul
souls are eternal. it still has bro
I loved the metropolis mechanic in 3, and also being able to get guard outposts and male deals with local tribes.
It's "Dritomos" you mongoloid. It means woodcutter.
What's IV about anyways? Seems like they're merging I, II and III time periods.
World War 1 and the events prior would be really neat

prostagma
it's actually drytómos (δρυτόμος) and not dritomos
Just discovered my art teacher worked on age of empires 2, I was pretty fucking embarrased to have never played the games and I bullshitted my way out of admitting I never played the games he worked on.
I just bought AoE2 and I'm about to play it.
nice. what did he/she work on?
He is a really cool teacher, haven't played any of the games he worked for.
FRITOMOS*
As a classical student, it really bothered me that the pronunciation for greek voices is so cheaply dependent on english accents and weird renditions of modern (and not ancient) Greek.
Like, the υ letter should be pronounced like the Italian U, close to a short English "oo" sound like in "fool".
Or, if following a later change, like the French ü.
This bothered me so much that I didn't spend more than ten years on this game, absolutely dreadful.
Best RTS ever.
Industrial era to modern. And V would've been beyond that
If it's Art, my money is on the campaign briefings' drawings.
well he worked on the graphics too IIRC.
those drawings are pretty cool. i also love the campaign boards
What a Chad
Wait, they don't carry around wood, do they? I don't think I've ever seen that.
ALLAH ALLAH
>chad walker
meanwhile the bootleg china expansion has them speaking modern mandarin, which they lifted from AoE III
>Chad Walker
damn I wish I had that name
yeah you fucking wish Virgin Biker
>as a classical student
whats the deal with υ sometimes being transliterated as u and others as y? why is it touto and not toyto, and poly and not polu?
>Chad Walker
what a fucking legendary name
Men-at-arms and spearmen are my favorite.
>tfw no Chad Walker teacher
Daily reminder:
you will only 7 Janissaries to 1 shot knights at best in castle age
10 Janissaries to 1 shot knights at worst in castle age
Those yellow pauldrons always pissed me off.
they do
what books do i need to learn to understand this post
this must be a mod or EE because in the Titans Expansion they don't carry resources on their backs when gathering
Conversational English.
Spirit of the Law

Kindergarden math
Age of Empires 1 sucks so much dick. I just played the gamepass version and it's utter trash. I'm surprised the series even took off.
>Having Chad motherfucking Walker as your teacher
based and chadpilled.
they carry but on their arms
It's 20 years old, dude.
PROSTAGMA
Jesus that resume
So AoE V = Halo Wars?
They do when they are coming back to the resource gathering point, like user posted, but I am with you on that one, they don't carry it on their backs while gathering.
EE shouldve kept the titans menu.
with that resume, experience and that name he could probably fetch a good job at many companies, why the fuck did he become a teacher?
Being a teacher is incredibly comfy, if you are teaching what you are passionate about.
Modern Greek reads υ as /i/, as in English "ee" like in "free".
>Chad walker
>That resume
Would hang out on a bar with him/10
that's not empire earth
i dont get his resume at all. only know the "age of" games.
extended edition
>I don't get it
That's not very Chad of you.
No one cares about modern setting. Bring back antiquity.
>why the fuck did he become a teacher
It's honorabru. Teachers are the reason he became interested in art and whatever else he liked
>Empire Earth.jjog
Yeah, I'm thinking the AoE2 devs were based
>back of the box shows clearly a depiction of D-day with what appears to be Werhmacht engaging GIs, implying there is a degree of unit variety between civs when there is none
>you can actually build Shermans and Panzers at the same time
>AI has infinite money
>those fucking faces on the units
I loved the game but it had some big ass problems.
They aint wrong tho
u is closer to the greek letter, y is the latin transliteration of the greek letter
And Rise of Nations already combined 1 through 4.
>Son, they're not like us. They wear RED togas.
>Their leader wears a funny hat and throws shiny stars at his foes
