Nintendo games seem to just be more unique despite recycling the same IPs over and over again. You play one Sony/Microsoft FPS or sports game, you played them all despite being completely different game with a new story. Nintendo makes their games so they seem like fresh and new to their consumers. You also have customer loyalty that was earned since they were children and the nostalgia makes their customers crave more of new stuff that is based on familiarity.

It’s like how most people vote for incumbents during election. You want to pick something familiar rather than risking spending your money on a crappy franchise you might not become emotionally invested in. As I grow older despite having a job with enough money to get any game and multiple consoles I want, I end up walking out of a store empty handed because I have gotten too picky now. But when a new Zelda comes out, you bet I’m walking out with a new console to play it.

Outside of Nintendo the industry has largely turned into selling dog shit by trying to dress it up really nicely. Most games are terrible free to play or not free but still littered with microtransactions cancer. The few single player games still being made usually either feature very little actual gameplay or are generic open world games that have been done a hundred times.

Nintendo has a solid, popular lineup of first-party franchises which you can pretty much always count on getting new installments. This naturally generates hype because speculation about what might be coming is easy to do. At any given moment there's practically no doubt that the next Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Smash, Fire Emblem, Kirby, Mario Sports spinoff, Mario RPG spinoff, etc are in development, so the only question is when they'll be revealed and released, meaning there's a really straightforward framework for speculation and hype.
Other companies are likely to have a much smaller pool of franchises to draw from and are more likely to show off new IPs than new installments in existing franchises. Of course, reveals of new IPs can be exciting but they don't draw hype in advance because before they're revealed there's nothing to talk about.

Because Nintendo makes their own games. They know what comes out and when. They know what is lagging behind and what's ahead of schedule. They can order their teams to make a presentation for X date and they have to do it because it's an order from their direct boss.

Yea Forums's hatred of Sony stems more from their fans constantly fucking with Xbox's practices before suddenly adopting it themselves, like paid online services etc.

I remember the PS4 reveal where they also talked about PS+ being a obligatory service for playing online and both nintendofags and xboxfags shat on Sony, and I must say, it was well-deserved. But everyone seemed to have forgotten Nintendo did the same shit last year with the Switch.

I have every console and I find myself more excited for Nintendo stuff because their games are fun. That's pretty much it. It's fun. Even with the ports, Nintendo brings me games I might have missed or never heard of and it's portable. I travel a lot so I really am playing games on the plane. Nintendo has good exclusives while there is no point in watching the other consoles announcements because the games end up everywhere. (And I end up just getting it on steam) I honestly don't understand why console wars exist this day and age seeing as Nintendo is the only one with exclusives. I think PC/Switch is the best combo. No one is missing out if they don't buy an Xbox or PS4. For me, they are just Blu-Ray players now.

Also hoping that we get announcement for pic related. Waiting on the English release man.

Yes they do, but in a much lesser extent, since they're not the majority here. There are a lot of pcfags that also identify with Nintendo for their own reasons, and usually these are the worst sony falseflaggers.

They seem to be the only company that understands we don't give a shit about hearing from their CEOs or about their ethics policies or forced inclusivity. They know people just want to see trailers and gameplay and they deliver every time.

I don't emulate switch games because half the time the emulation doesn't work and will takes months to get it working properly. The only time I emulate is when I feel the need to play much older titles. It also takes away the portable factor I mentioned.
